    Woohoo!

Nope, I haven't done it...but I have got the finger size (is that what it's called?)!

I have found a ring I like...I just need to decide whether its too much money or not, and then buy it, or another 1!

Congrats to you redfragglebiker - see, us men do think about some things you know!

    Hi guys,

I didn't know if this thread was still going but just noticed it. I feature a good while back and anyone who has read all the threads will see how sad I was about it all. I am pleased to say I waited longer than I told myself I would and he proposed on April 27th this year! Really chuffed, beautiful ring and the best thing is he took so long and was so scared because he absolutely is going into it with his eyes open. He is a different person and just had to get over this 'hurdle'. He now is talking about having children, says he doesn't want a long engagement and is telling me off for not prioritising looking for venues when I arranged to meet a friend at the weekend!! I know it doesn't work out for everyone but I knew at the bottom of my heart he loved me and he would do it so I hung on. :T

Good luck everyone and hope you get your dream!!

For anyone reading this thread who is desperate for a proposal I would just say don't panic!

My partner propsed on our 10 year anniversary a few weeks ago - I have been desperate for it for a good while now! He just did it when he was good and ready which was fne. I made sure I didn't pressurise him, and I didn't mention it very often as I was worried if he did do it and I'd harped on about it to him for months that he would only have done it to please me, rather than because he wanted to.

When we first got together (and for many years afterward) he said he never wanted to get married. I hung in there hoping once friends of his started getting engaged etc that it would make him realise it wasn't so bad after all and lo and behold it happened!

Anyone had any more luck? It's my birthday soon and I'm trying not to hope.

    Aww bless you HaW!

We're all going to have to have a big party when we get proposals...or at least a post and a time to all drink a glass of vino in our own homes together haha!

  • I'm secretly cheering you all on in my head y'know. My previous post somewhere said I was going to shake my OH if he didn't propose soon - Now that he has done I am willing to offer a free shaking service to others prospective OHs
*One complimentary shake offered per person!
Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!?
