If the OP emails the forum team, I'm sure they will take a look at it and reply.

Honestly, I think it would be a good idea if infraction PMs stated in them to direct any queries via email to the forum team?

As said, it's the more appropriate route, and you wouldn't get a lack of reply due to someone having a huge backlog of unread PMs. I'm sure the MSE team members get 1,000s, and can't possibly keep up.

So in your professional life, if you had sent someone an email that you knew could potentially upset them, and a few hours later saw that they had replied to you, would you not take the time to read it and reply? Or would you tell them to contact someone else instead?

    Cheers. :undecided

I mean, it's not my board. As in I literally don't have the ability to do it, even if I wanted to.

If I had several hundred unread emails, and that one just got added into the list, then I probably wouldn't even realise that they had replied.

Especially if my job was something with priorities that didn't revolve around dealing promptly with emails.

The infraction PM is sent automatically by the forum software. It's not like whoever did it would think, "I know, lets send a PM", so I better look out for a reply. It just goes anyway, regardless.

As said, it would be sensible if they said somewhere "please reply by email if you have a query".

Three AEs having a banter with each other. The same person who has registered dozens upon dozens the last few weeks.

And the abuse team is worried about doling out yellow cards to 'normal' members... :D

It's an absolute joke. It makes a mockery of the site that a thread like that is able to continue for so long, and with a board guide contributing laughing smilies to it no less.

About five or six accounts all in use by the same person, doling out abuse to other posters telling them to die and so on? Is the site really so impotent that this can be done all evening with no action despite numerous board guides being online?

    But I don't know why.

I pm'd the person twice who gave me the infraction to ask them why but they haven't answered even though they've been online all day.

Don't you think it makes sense to give a reason so the person won't make the same mistake again?

None of my posts have been deleted so I really don't have a clue what I did wrong.

We've both questioned MSE Andrea here:-

    ...and we're both on yellows....hmmm.

MSE Andrea said she would investigate the editing of posts by MSE staff to give a different slant on threads...HAVE YOU ANDREA? What were the conclusions?

Just for the record here's some of the abuse that has been directed at DCFC79 by the half dozen usernames being used by the same Zoverstocks spammer who has had free reign the last few weeks.

..the zoverstocks spammer also accused browntoa of being a child molester in the most vilest of terms...yet their posts are still allowed under an AE for hours on end....last time I checked the rules MSE said they would pursue them and claim, was that just bull or are you?

I can't help but wonder if Martin Lewis was the repeated target of such disgusting abuse would action be taken rather than a 'mere' board guide or forum member.

I've just seen this thread. I will ask the team to look at what's going on.
