Quidco Question and Answers

Hello,
Sorry I can't help out with any questions and not even sure if this is the right place to post!
Has anyone used the new Quidco check-in app? It's a great way of earning a few pennies for just going shopping! But I was just wondering how frequently you can check-in to a shop, as a few days after I checked in at some, those same shops had disappeared off my check-in map. Surely its not just once ever?!
Thanks for any help!0 -
Hi Quidco Rep,
I currently have a number of tracked purchases that have fallen outside of the expected confirmation time. Two of these transactions I am mostly concerned about are my purchases with Churchill Car Insurance & Hastings Direct Car Insurance, these transactions were placed and tracked back in October and November 2011 respectively. Should I raise a query with Quidcare or is a matter of just waiting it out?
Thanks for your help!0 -
Hi Quidco Rep
In Feb 12 I made 5 seperate hotel bookings via Hotel.Com. All 5 tracked within a day or so. After a while all 5 were declined. I then put in 5 claims quoting booking ref and email address. I have since completed all 5 bookings. A few days ago I got updates that transactions cannot be traced.
Before each hotel stay I received courtesy emails advising of my upcoming stays and quoting the booking ref. After each stay I received an email asking me to review the stay and again quoting the booking ref.
So the question is how can the transactions be declined as untraceable when a) it originally tracked and b) they keep bombarding me with emails quoting the references which they now say are untraceable?

Good afternoon,
I hope you all had a nice weekend.
@Phatom Flan Flinger – I think this is just a technical error with our system, as far as I’m aware Toprooms.com do accept cashback claims. Can you try clicking it again? It should now allow you to raise the ticket.
@doctor40 – Don’t worry, Orange do sometimes track purchases this way, as advised in their terms:
“In some instances of contract purchases your sale will track in at a lower cashback amount than advertised and any additional cashback will be inserted on your Quidco account upon your sale updating to confirmed.”
Tillycat123 – I’m afraid only one lot of £50 is available for this particular purchase, the term regarding this can be found when you click through to the Halifax site, at the bottom under ‘How to get your £50 cashback’:
"Our £50 cashback offer is not available through price comparison websites or cashback websites"
@Raminder1992 – I’m pleased to tell you that you can get the £142.50 cashback on an internet only package.
@jasg – Sorry to hear that. Can you please go to the contact form and select ‘Why has my claim been closed?’
@ebc – That does sound very odd. Can you please raise this via our complaints procedure and I’ll be happy to take a closer look into this for you.
@mayjo – Don’t worry, this term simply means that you will have to have BACS as your selected payment method on Quidco, as we cannot pay the amount of cashback out if you have Paypal listed as your payment option. This doesn't relate to the payment method of the transaction itself.
@Fire Power – I believe the majority of shops will allow you to check in once every day, however some retailers will only allow 1 check in every 28 days.
@MOPI – Can I ask you to please raise a support ticket for these transactions and we’ll be happy to look into these for you.
@arsenalboy – Don’t worry, we would never accept the response ‘can’t be traced’ as a valid reason to decline something, as it is very vague; we can always look into these further for you. Can you please raise a support ticket via this link, and we can assist further.
Many thanks,

Thanks Rosie. Answer has come back now as follows :Don’t worry - Toprooms.com always tracks in this way. This will update to the correct amount prior to the cashback being confirmed in your account.
Hopefully it'll be OK then.Dave. :wave:0 -
Hi quidco rep!
I'm having ongoing issues with things not tracking, but one was a recent purchase from USC. I've just raised a claim, but it isn't showing up on the activity like a claim normally does? Is this because it's USC or some other reason?0 -
Re - Orange cashback. thanks for that Quidco rep - I understand that sometimes cashback tracks at a lower amount as that's happened before - what I don't understand is why it tracks at the correct amount and then literally in front of my eyes it tracked to a lower (incorrect amount). Why is this?
thanks0 -
Hi QuidCo Rep.
Ordered tickets and hotel for Legoland Windsor back in April. Purchase didn't track so I raised a ticket on 29th April.
On 9th May ticket was put on hold by Quidco for "19 days" since that was minimum time before it could be sent to merchant.
31st May it got sent to Legoland.
Today have finally had a response that cashback has been declined because Legoland no longer have a relationship with Quidco.
Seems a bit harsh since all the delays in responding to the ticket are down to either Quidco or Legoland.0 -
Hi Quidco
I would appreciate it if you would all speak with one voice on this and deliver to me what was promised albeit not by 15 July 2012 as sadly clocks can not be turned back
Have to say was very impressed with speedy non generic responses to my communications regarding this, however not impressed that I am now spending time on something which was clearly supposed to have been cleared/paid up by 15th July 2012
( My Quidco ID is same as MSE ID)

Hi .......
I'm so sorry that this is taking longer than expected.
Whilst we do give an indication on the retailer's page of the length of time we expect a payment to take, I'm afraid that cashback payment periods can not be guaranteed due to the number of parties and hand-offs involved in the process. We will always do our best, though, to obtain your payment for you as quickly as possible.
I am going to escalate this for you and our payments team will investigate to establish exactly where in the process the delay is occurring. This can take a while and I'd be grateful if you could allow us around 8 weeks to try to get this paid for you. I do appreciate that this wait is frustrating but please be assured that if we have not had the payment by then, we will come back to you with an update.
Kind regards,
Stevie

Hi,
You may have noticed that you received a support ticket on 20 June stating that your payment would be confirmed by 15 June 2012.
We are very sorry for any confusion that this has caused; the date should have read 15 July 2012, this is our mistake and I'd like to apologise for any concern or confusion that this message may have caused.
To clarify, your payment will update to confirmed status in time for the payment run on 15 July 2012.
Kind regards,
Quidcare

Hi,
It’s the Quidco Payments Team.
As you know, we have been chasing up your delayed payment for you and we’re delighted to tell you that we have been successful in our efforts. If your cashback has not been confirmed or paid already (and it may well have been) please be assured that it will definitely update to confirmed status by the 15 June 2012 payment run.
We’re now going to close this issue for you and we’re very sorry that you have had to wait for so long on this occasion. Whilst cashback payment times can never be guaranteed, please be assured that we are always on the case for you as we don’t like our customers to have to wait for any longer than necessary for their payments.
Kind regards,
Quidco Payments Team

Dear Quidco Rep
I purchased M&S Home Insurance in Sept 2011. This tracked but never been paid. I raised the issue in May given that one is supposed to wait forever with this supplier. I have just raised again (ticket no 2631966) and got a standard response asking me to give you 'a little time to resolve this issue'. Just how long is 'a little time'? I am nearly 9 months through my 12 months insurance. Surely this looks bad for quidco and counterproductive for M&S. I got no specific response from Quidco, just a standard very polite reply. I'm finding it very hard to not believe that there is a hope I will just give up. My trust is waning I am afraid. There has not been any explanation of why it has not confirmed. The only thing that matters is actions really. Can you do anything to actually progress this issue for me?
I wonder if others have been having similar problems.0
