    Hi

A question for the Quidco representative. Hopefully you will be able to help on the matter.

I purchased an ipad in February following the incentive of a £25 cash back offer.
The purchase has not apparently tracked but is showing as a receipt on your system.
I have spoken to Curry’s where the purchase was made and after spending over an hour in store they have been unable to do anything referring me to Quidco.
Having been patiently waiting for the purchase to track it is somewhat frustrating to read the message which pops up on your system which seems to offer no help after a few weeks of purchase.
I hope you can resolve this as the purchase is clearly showing.
I look forward to your reply.

    (1) Where have all the Quidclans gone? Google can find no link to them in the past 12 months, and, oddly, I can find no discussion of Quidco removing them.

    (2) I found this MSE thread which someone from Quidco appears to be responding to. However, I could not find any way to ask the previous question on Quidco itself. The Help section was of no use as it restricts questions to pre-specified categories. What is the procedure for contacting Quidco with questions like the above?

    (3) When I joined Quidco a few years ago, I could trust that most transactions would track, so I had to follow up only on those that were then declined, so the process was not time consuming. I enjoyed 4 good years of Quidco usage. However, in the past 12 months, I'm finding that about 50% of my transactions are failing to track, and I'm missing out on significant amounts of cashback because I'm not spotting this within the allowed time. I've just had a number of hotel stays - booked several months ago -- that I've noticed never tracked. I really don't want to have to start keeping spreadsheets of every Quidco transaction and then keep monitoring what has not tracked. I have better things to do with my life. I just want the reliability I used to enjoy. Even those transactions that do track often seem to be taking 9 months or more to pay out. A cynic might wonder where the cashback I'm no longer getting is going. Why is Quidco now so unreliable and what is being done to address this? Cursory Googling shows I'm far from alone in my experience.

Exactly the same as me. Out of the last 7 transactions I have done via quidco only 1 has tracked. Had to raise a claim for all the others and no doubt they will be declined.

Decided to change to top cashback now, no annual fee and everything tracks reliably and in seconds with an email to tell you so. Plus you can review and rate the merchants where as Quidco just try and protect them. I would advise anyone else who wants their transactions to track to change to top cashback.

I've been with Quidco for a few years, but the past 6-8 months have seen a real decline in the service.

10/10/11 - A purchase of an item from Tesco - 11.97 due, claim raised but no update
16/01/12 - Another purchase from Tesco (telecoms). Cashback should be £80 but tracked at £45. Claim raised, but no update. Chased again
09/03/12 - Purhcase at Halfords instore - Quidco now says it'll be at least 8 months to pay out! (I'm sure it was less when advertised)
22/04/12 - Santander - can't raise a claim as it doesn't appear when trying to do one, and had to send a message to Quidco to try and find out what has happened. System just says "it has tracked, and will be updated soon"

I find it really difficult to contact Quidco. There isn't a direct email, instead you have to fight through the automated system which tries to put you off contacting them!

I'm going to look at other facilities as it's a bonus if the Cashback is paid, but the past few months it's been terrible.

    Good afternoon,

@brendang – Sorry to hear that you have been unable to do this; can you confirm if you were trying to raise a claim or a support ticket? Can you try this link for me, this should allow you to contact the support team.

@laurajaylee – The site seems to be working fine at the moment, can you try clearing your browser cookies and cache? As this should rectify the problem.

@Claremac – No cashback can ever be guaranteed until it is confirmed, unfortunately, but the fact that it has tracked is a good sign. There are certain factors that can cause cashback to be declined, all of which can be found here. If your cashback is declined and you don’t believe the response is correct, then do contact us and we will always investigate further, wherever possible.

@KT80 – Don’t worry – the multi product bonus isn’t added in until 60 days after both purchases have confirmed. There’s nothing you need to do now, it’ll be added in automatically.

@LaineyR – That’s an awfully long time to be waiting; I’m so sorry. Can you please contact the Quidcare Team via this link, and we can have that rectified for you as quickly as possible.

@bleepandbooster – That does sound very delayed now. Can you please use this link to contact the Quidcare Team, and they can chase that up for you.

@rising from the ashes – Cashback claims are actually only used for purchases that either aren’t tracked, are incorrect or declined. For delayed purchases you can contact the Quidcare Team here.

@Starsgazer – I’m sorry to hear that your purchase has not tracked, however we can certainly look into this for you to see if there’s anything we can do. Can I ask you to go to the contact form and select ‘I am unable to raise a cashback claim’.

@matty102 – I do understand your concern and we hate it when transactions don't track, too. However Quidco nor any other cashback site will carry out its own tracking. All cashback sites will generally use the same affiliate networks to track purchases, as each retailer will be on a specific network. In regards to merchant reviews, I do agree with you here and this is something we’ll be introducing over the next month or so. We want you to be able to leave an honest and informative review of whichever retailer you use, and we are of course always looking for ways to improve our service for our members.

    Many thanks,

    Rosie

  • Just made a booking through toprooms.com which was quoting 5% cashback.

I have the tracking confirmation but the cashback on £425 is only 4p.
    Have I missed something here??

Thanks Rosie - couldn't find how to get there on the site :o

I have entered the details and TBH I'm a bit disappointed with the response:

"On average most retailers take between 90 and 180 days to confirm cashback, if your purchase is outside this timeline please be assured our Quidcare team is working on this for you."

Frankly waiting up to 6 months to receive payment is, IMHO, ridiculous - can Quidco not put something in place saying participating retailers must make payment within a reasonable time frame in the contracts (eg 90 days which seems reasonable to me)?

At the end of the day, I've shopped with many retailers I'd probably not have tried as there has been cashback available (and sure many others are the same) so it's in the retailers best interests to be able to be on cashback sites like Quidco ..... so why shouldn't they have to pay up within a reasonable time?

  • Hello Rosie

Thanks for your response, I managed to contact the Quidcare Team at lunchtime just before your email. They tell me it could still be up to another 8 weeks ! I know it's not your fault ...... But this is a joke and as the other poster "rising from the ashes" says surely the retailers should pay up in a reasonable time. They have had my money since Xmas.
Oh by the way hope you enjoyed your hols ?

    hello
I raised a claim for Swindon Insurance back in March. The status still shows as 'claim raised'. How long does it usually take to answer a claim? I thought it was around 3 months max ?

Hi, you sent me a payment but it went to the wrong bank, and my account there is closed. Can you please advise how to rectify this. My username is Lesleyet
