Well I went into town today to try out the QuidCo check-in app; it was all a bit hit and miss - I'd go into a shop and press check in on my iPhone and it would fail and tell me I wasn't in the shop.

I got a few of them to work, but the ones inside the shopping centre didn't. Some others worked just outside the shop but not inside.

Also the app kept turning off its location services, despite them being on on the phone.

I really went for the walk, but it turned into a bit of a challenge to see if I could get them recognized - I managed about half of them.

It probably cost more in phone data re-trying than the cashback was worth.

I’ve used Quidco for about 4 years and been pleased with it up until the last 9 months or so.

Recently most of my purchases dont seem to track automatically (eg Tesco Direct, Post Office insurance, Sainsburys travel money.), so you have to submit a claim. These then take months to be processed.

I submitted 2 claims for Tesco purchases via Quidco seven months ago – this week I’ve been told that for one purchase Tesco cannot find any record of it. For the second purchase Tesco apparently paid the money to another referral site.

However, I cleared all cookies before purchase; I have screen prints which I took during the purchase process; I have confirmation emails from Tesco to say that I ordered the goods; And I still actually have the purchased items (one of which was an Ipad, due a quidco rebate of £24!)

Quidco just send a standard mail saying why they declined the cashback and what you might have done wrong during the purchase, but none of their reasons for failing seem to apply to my purchases.

    Not impressed !

    Good afternoon,

I’m so sorry I haven’t posted on here since Monday.

@concerned43. I’m very sorry you’ve had this issue. The retailers’ affiliate networks track the cashback for us and Virgin do sometimes track at the wrong amount but update upon confirmation. In this case this has clearly not happened and the only way we can resolve this for you is to send off a manual claim to them for the shortfall, which we are always happy to do. I’m only sorry that the process takes a while and I do understand how frustrating this is.

@bilbo – I’m alarmed to hear that as we would never fob you off. Can you please email me at members@quidco.com with your Quidco account details and I’ll be happy to take a look at this for you.

@mum26 – we may be able to help with this as we’re always more than happy to go back to a retailer when a claim is declined for this reason. Please use the link below to contact the Quidcare Team and we’ll take it from there for you.

@prowla – do be sure that you have the latest updates on your phone. We are really pleased with the amount of check-ins we now have, but of course these need to work! It’s early days and we’re ironing out a few teething problems, but if you need to report a faulty check-in please use the error button on your app and the app team will get onto it for you.

@ebc – I can see how annoying this must be. If you are not happy with the resolution to a cashback claim we may be able to help further, especially if it seems the order reference cannot be traced. Please use the link above that I supplied to mum26 for this.

As regards tracking failure, we’re not experiencing any widespread tracking issues, so it could be to do with your browser settings. Here’s a link that containing information that should help you with this:

    Kind regards,

I am very pleased to see that the the order I placed for an O2 monthly contract has tracked at £70 after 2 days. Now that it has tracked, is it guaranteed to be paid or, if not, what could go wrong?

In April i bought car insurance and home insurance with Aviva through Quidco. The £65.00 cashback for car insurance is confirmed and the £45.00 hOme insurance is tracked but there is nomention of the £25.00 multi product discount. I tried to raise a claim for this but it isnot an option in the drop down. Please can you confirm, does the multi product cash back just add itself at some point or is there something else i need to do?
