I contacted your team regarding the Halfords (In-Store) transactions on my account. These date back to March 2011 which are only showing as tracked, not confirmed.

Quidco replied to me saying the amounts will be paid within 21 days (their reply was 2nd Feb 2012).

I still haven't received the amounts as "confirmed" - they are still "tracked".

If i click the link to "create a cashback claim" i get the message:
warning Unfortunately we are unable to investigate transactions for this merchant.

Am i ever going to have this money paid to me?

    Good afternoon,

@screamer – As with all cashback, Quidco nor any other cashback site will dictate as to whether your cashback is declined or not, we simply don’t have the power to do so. When cashback is declined, it is the retailer who has made this decision. Although we do present the offers to you, there are still certain factors that can cause cashback to be declined, as with all transactions. The Currys offer is no different to this. We’re not aware of any pattern with Currys declining transactions on this particular offer, as many transactions have been internally approved. As with any other declined transaction, please raise a declined cashback claim so we can ask Currys to investigate further, and hopefully obtain your cashback for you.

@jasonwatkins – I do understand your frustration and this is something that we are currently working on. At the moment, the payment run has to be processed a day or so before the payment run date to ensure that all payments go out smoothly, and reach accounts in good time. We are looking at ways we can improve this at the moment though as I say, I can understand how last minute changes may need to be made on occasion. And don’t worry, feel free to rant in here! :)

@K_P83 – I’m really sorry about this, and it is a technical issue that it unfortunately affecting quite a few of our members. Our in-store payment system basically isn’t allowing us to make any payments at the moment, and our technical team have been working around the clock to have this fixed. All payments that should have been made will still be made, although it may take a little bit longer for the payments to be applied.

    Many thanks,

    Rosie

    Hi Quidco,

I want to take out a home contents policy only with MoreThan but I am not sure if if the £50 cashback shown on Quidco covers this.

It says £50 cashback for an insurance policy but then says get up to £75 free contents cover which seems to imply you have to be applying for buildings insurance or a combined insurance, but I only want contents insurance.

    Can you please advise?

. Our in-store payment system basically isn’t allowing us to make any payments at the moment, and our technical team have been working around the clock to have this fixed

Have they been working around the clock for the last six months or so since this was first identified, or is it only recently that they have been working around the clock?

I would suggest if its the former, they are incompetant, and if its the latter, whoever told them not to work around the clock is incompetant.

    Good morning,

@houseofpat – I can confirm that cashback is payable on buildings, contents or joint policies, they pay cashback on any sort of home insurance policy.

@Froggitt – This specific payment system issue only arose over the past week or so, and since the problem was identified the team have been working very hard to rectify it.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

    Thanks,

So why are these for example still outstanding?

    25 May 11 Halfords (In-store) Tracked
    26 Jul 11 SportsDirect (In-store) Tracked

Im not worried about these as theyre only pennies, but when you say
Our in-store payment system basically isn’t allowing us to make any payments at the moment
, the reality is that there are payments from almost a year ago that are still outstanding, yet you give the impression that
This specific payment system issue only arose over the past week or so

    Good afternoon,

@Froggitt – The in-store payments system has been very slow admittedly for some time now, although we were starting to get back on track with it. This new issue has thrown a spanner in the works, although I believe this should be fixed within the next 24 hours, so we can then start to apply payments again.

@Matt.D – Thanks for the feedback, Matt! Great to hear this has now been paid.

    Many thanks,

    Rosie

    Filing a claim....

My partner just filed a claim & the warning was that her Quidco account could be terminated & the unpaid cashback could be cancelled.

How strict is this? She thinks she's correctly filing a claim, but is now unsure whether to proceed in case she missed one of the T&Cs & has no right to file for a claim. She doesn't want her Quidco account to be shut down.

    Good morning,

@K_P83 - These warnings are in place to deter fraud and abuse, so those retailers at higher risk of being targeted by fraud groups will usually have these sort of warnings.

Tell her not to worry, though. If the retailer deems that the claim is not eligible for cashback then they will decline this, but her account won't be closed. We do understand that sometimes certain terms can be missed, and we would only ever block an account if it is evident that the member has been abusing the system or a particular retailer to get cashback. Even then this would only be after sending the member several warnings.

So in short, she'll be fine.

    Many thanks,

    Rosie
