Hi, sorry if this has been answered before but I've got a question, I've just signed up to Quidco but not used it yet, and wondered if:
through my employer I can buy vouchers for hundreds of retailers at up to 10% discount. Say I want to buy eg a fridge at Currys for £100. I can buy vouchers for a value of the £100 through work for say £90, can I then go and buy the fridge via Quidco and get cashback and when I pay use my vouchers? Or is that not possible? As I say, I've not used it yet so I've not seen the screens you go to for payment...

The method of payment is irrelevant - as long as the order is completed via Quidco and tracked it shouldn't matter. The affiliate network has no concern how you pay, simply that the order has been successfully completed via Quidco.
Whether you paid 90% or 5% of the value of your vouchers or found them in the street has no bearing. The retailer doesn't know that and they already have the cash for the vouchers.UK Consumers: The Gift That Keeps On Giving......0 -

Good morning,
I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.
@Lady Tara - I'm afraid the use of gift vouchers in conjunction with cashback can cause your cashback to be declined, as the majority of retailers will not pay cashback when a voucher or gift voucher is used (unless listed on Quidco). Please see the Currys terms and conditions for more clarification on this:
"Members should only use voucher codes listed on Quidco. If you use voucher codes or gift vouchers that are not listed on Quidco your cashback may not track or be declined."
Kind regards,

I stand corrected then, sorry!
I have part-paid orders with gift vouchers before and had no issues.
I suppose some retailers may consider a gift voucher a transaction that's ALREADY taken place outside Quidco before you use them to purchase via Quidco.
Another thing may be that if you use a voucher for the WHOLE purchase it may be treated differently than in part-payment.UK Consumers: The Gift That Keeps On Giving......0 -
Ah thanks for clarifying - I did wonder if it was too good to be true!"Adoption Loss is the only trauma in the world where the victims are expected by the whole of society to be grateful" - The Reverend Keith C. Griffith, MBE0

Simple answer is to sell your vouchers on feeBay; you will get 90-97.5% of face value usually I average 96%. After feebay's and paypoo's cut you would end up with around 85% of face value on a 96% sale.
So if you can get cashback of 6% plus via quidco you'd be slightly better off if you can get your vouchers for 90% face value.
On electrical goods it's usually only 1-5% cashback on the pre-VAT price so I'd conclude here you're OK as you are - getting electricals at 90% of store price is a good enough deal anyway.UK Consumers: The Gift That Keeps On Giving......0 -
Merry Christmas Quidco.
Thanks for all the 'help' in getting me my outstanding money, the same delaying 'we're doing all we can' replies 'we'll get back to you in x-amount of weeks/months'.
Now missed any chance of gettting a payment by Christmas 2011, so maybe for Christmas 2012??UK Consumers: The Gift That Keeps On Giving......0 -
I have to admit after quite a few years of using Quidco - I might be giving TCB a try in 2012. I have had several claims inexplicably failing to even register.
I only order from my main PC and I only ever use IE on that purely for Quidco, clearing cookies every time ...
I have had a larger proportion fail to register (expedia, iTunes and most recently evocal) despite getting friendly messages saying that there is no issue.
The customer support process is a joke, long and unwieldy.
It's a shame because in previous years I had hardly any issues - but this year has just been tortuous.
It's just as well that this year I moved to a couple of credit cards - first preference is always the cashback card, followed by the loyalty points one where the other isn't taken - and that way I hope to maximise my moneysaving opportunities.

Good morning,
@shaftingham - It is very unfortunate that we weren't able to resolve your claims before Christmas but we are still on the case, and of course, have a lovely Christmas!
@Hurdler - I'm very sorry to hear that you feel this way. In regards to tracking, it is worth noting that Quidco, nor any other cashback site, track your purchases. We all use the same affiliate networks to track and process transactions, which is why when purchases do fail to track, nine times out of ten it will be an issue with your browser/security settings.
We are also working hard behind the scenes to improve existing processes and to install some new ones in order to be able to provide the high levels of attention, quality and customer service that our members deserve.
Many thanks,
