yippee my Morethan has finally confirmed after sitting there since March :D Now i just need to get my Halifax from July and RAC from Aug sorted :)

Yeah got mine 60 too. I should also get my £50 from 888.com which Rosie in an e-mail earlier this month told me has been accepted and 'would probably arrive with October's network payment'. It has been claimed from 7 months ago, along with BidRivals..........

Why do I have a sense of impending disappointment on both though......... :(:(:(

Still, always hope for Christmas 2012 or 2013

    Good morning,

@Dales37 - Can you make sure that you are logged in before you enter the code? For some reason the code won't be accepted when you aren't logged in but it should be accepted once you have logged in.

@Shaftingham - I'm keeping an eye on these two for you, I'm really sorry again for how long they are taking. I can certainly contact you as soon as the payment arrives, and hopefully it shouldn't take too much longer!

    Kind regards,

    Rosie

  • Hello quidco Company Representative.

I used a couple of cashback sites and continually have trouble with untracked/unreported cashback and delays in receiving the cashback amounts. Recently, I must say with a reival cashback website, I was declined cashback despite being able to offer proof I clicked through the cashback site and proof of the purchase I made through the merchant and was told that the merchant has decided I still do not qualify to cashback. Furthermore, they reminded me that "cashback is never guaranteed, and should be seen as an added possible bonus to a transaction." With Quidco I have not had any declined transactions as of yet, but I have ad significantly longer waiting times than expected to access my cash.

My question is, why do cash back websites not just make their contracts with merchants more airtight so cashback can always be guaranteed? Also, why they do not seem to include in their agreement with merchant and minimum time the cashback will be payable, so people are not left waiting for "batches" to be paid well after their due/average waiting time?

Thank you for your time here, the presence of a company representative really does improve the public relations capability of Quidco.
  • i finally have tracked and paid cashback in my quidco account and status says will be paid to me in next payment run, can someone please tell me when this is likely to be. do they pay monthly and if so is it specific date. thanks

    Good afternoon,

@WillBanyard - Payment delays and declined cashback are two of the biggest issues that we face in the industry as a whole, and I do understand how frustrating it can be when you experience either a delay or a decline. We know that the cashback industry is in no way perfect at the moment, and we as a company are always working on new improvements and processes to make your experience with us a positive one.

At the moment, cashback websites work through third party companies called affiliate networks. The networks will track and process your cashback, and liaise with both the cashback site and the retailer. Once you make a purchase through the cashback site, the networks will track the transaction, and then the transaction will have to go through various send offs and checks before it can be approved by the retailer.

This process can sometimes be lengthy, especially for insurers or where larger amounts of cashback is involved, and there will always be various factors and restrictions that can cause your cashback to be declined.

We would love nothing more than to be able to guarantee cashback; it would be fantastic not just for our members, but for us as well! We do have a lot of ideas in the pipeline in regards to speeding up payments, after all our main aim is and always will be to get your cashback to you, as quickly and as easily as possible!

@money saving hedgehog - The next payment run takes place on 1st November 2011, so this is next Tuesday. Do note that it can take up to 5 working days for the payment to reach your account, though. We hold payment runs on the 1st and 15th of each month.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

    Kind regards,

    Rosie

More declined cashbacks, with claims of "paid to another referrer due to competing cookies". What a lie, since I use a separate browser that clears all cookies, history, cache etc on exit.

And then they have the gall to patronise saying it's my fault for not clearing cookies. I have a degree in computer science so I kinda know what I'm doing in that regard.

The last straw for me, I'll try topcashback from now on.
  • I've only just noticed that I've been having trouble with Debenhams tracking. It's just them, everything else has tracked. I've made several orders with them in the last few weeks and am making Claims for them but wondered if something had changed at your/their end. I've always had success with them in the past.
I was going to send this in a message on Quidco, but couldn't find the most appropriate message header.

    It's only a game

    Good afternoon,

I hope you all had a good weekend. Rosie is on holiday this week so I’ll be answering your queries for you.

@dutchie. I’m so sorry to hear that your cashback has been declined for this reason. Quidco doesn’t decline cashback; that’s done by the retailers, and unfortunately if they decline to pay us a referral commission for your purchase, we have nothing to pass on to you as cashback. Competing cookies can also be caused by opening other windows or by using voucher codes not issued by Quidco as being compatible with cashback. We don’t like cashback to be declined either, as we have nothing at all to gain from that. After all, we’re here to help you to save money, but it’s issues such as this result in no cashback site being able to guarantee cashback from a purchase.

@point3. I will certainly pass on your comments to the relevant area, but I haven’t come across any other feedback of this nature. Perhaps it just the particular store that you use? I can see how frustrating this would be, though.

@MrsBartollozzi – I’ve checked with the admin team for you and there has been an issue with Debenhams' tracking recently. They have been tracking at £0 but this is being worked on and if that’s what’s happened in your case, you don’t need to worry as these will be rectified. However, there is no issue with them failing to track completely, so if this is the case, I would recommend that you ensure you clear your cookies prior to every purchase as this will help with tracking. Of course do continue to raise a missing cashback claim when a purchase fails to track. I hope this has been useful.

@caoimhin – I’m afraid that we will have no way of knowing at this stage whether your cashback will be affected. The best thing to do first is to see if it tracks. If it doesn’t track within 3 days, please raise a missing cashback claim. If it does track, then it will go through the cashback process. If it tracks but becomes declined we can challenge this with a declined cashback claim. Unfortunately, it’s something we can never know until it’s gone through all the necessary checks by the merchant and their network. If anything does go wrong, though, we will try our best to get your cashback for you.

@cbrpaul. That does seem to have taken a while. The Quidcare Team will be happy to take a look at that for you. To contact them, please use the contact form on the help page and select “why hasn’t my cashback been confirmed yet?”

    Kind regards,

    Jules

    hi Jules,

I have tried this and when i select pcworld to make a " missing claim" it states the site has not been visited !!

I also noticed that your " contact a quidco care rep" systems has changed, i cannot for the life of me get to message a quidco support officer, all i get is set statements of help that others have asked , very frustrating

Can you help me in contacting a quidco care rep directly please

    many thx
    Paul
