  • Hello, I've signed up for a Nationwide flex plus Current account via quidco who are offering £80 cash back at the moment. Cashback has tracked at only £35.
Should this adjust itself in time or should I be chasing this up?
    Thanks

    Hi there,

I'm sorry your cashback has tracked in at a lower amount.

Don't worry though, all you need to do is raise an Incorrect cashback claim. You can do this via this link:

    I hope this helps.

    Many Thanks,

  • It seems to me that as a rule cashback for policies taken out via the "compare" part of the site does not get paid out. This goes not only for Quidco, but also other sites I have used in the past.
In the past three years I have only had cashback awarded for one single policy, although I've taken out policies for household, two vehicles and travel cover.
The general excuse is that the merchant claims that cashback has been paid to another source, which they will not reveal.
I think this is a complete copout and it should be made compulsory for companies to divulge this information. It is also interesting that for all other merchants, tracking reliability rates are provided, but there is no such info for Quidco compare - why is this please, and how can I obtain those details?
I don't think I can hang on til Friday...

    Hi ernie-money,

I'm sorry to hear that you've experienced declined cashback when using the comparison tool.

Tracking reliability rates aren't provided as the process for cashback through the comparison service is different to a normal transaction for cashback.

Due to going through a quote service that generates multiple options of purchase there is no way to track a purchase automatically. We request a verification form to be filled in following purchase to provide us with the details of the insurance you eventually take out, we can then add this on to your account. This is then used to request the cashback from the insurer you chose to set up with who are able to see where you are referred from and will pay the commission accordingly.

If you could contact our customer service team, we will be happy to take a look at your previous cases for you.

    Kind regards,

    Brendan

If you can't provide tracking rates, why not just share what percentage of the verification forms you receive actually results in a successful payout?

This is part of the reply you sent me:

We have received feedback from the insurer regarding your travel insurance and I’m afraid that they have declined your quote on this occasion as the commission for the referral has been awarded to another party.
We understand how disappointing and frustrating this is, but in this Instance we are unable to take any further action.

This gives the distinct impression that there is no point trying to get you to challenge this decision - are you saying that isn't true?

    Hey all,

I was told the MSE Quidco reps are quite helpful, so here goes my query.

Does anyone know how I can get a response out of Quidco to give me my £7.50 + £36.17 in cashback from when I spent hundreds of pounds with British Airways? It specifically said I would get £7.50 normal quidco cashback plus 5% extra if I paid by Paypal. So I did, it tracked, then it said Declined, for BOTH of them.

And the Quidco Raise a claim option says you cant claim for Paypal Bonus paypments??? What? This is ridiculous. I wouldnt have paid via Paypal otherwise!!

Hope someone can look into this.
