Yet another declined cashback from Quidco this time for a British Gas Homecare Service Agreement. I have chased this up for four months and today received the following reply:
Hi,
We are writing to you about your cashback claim, as we have now had a response from the retailer.
Unfortunately, on this occasion your claim has been declined because the cashback from your sale will not be paid to us by the retailer. In order to pay us, they have to recognise us as having been the party who referred the sale to them, and in this case they do not.
Please be assured that we have looked into this for you further, prior to contacting you today, as we like to do everything we can to obtain payment for you. I understand that this is a disappointing outcome but, due to the nature of online cashback, we cannot always guarantee that you will be successful in receiving your cashback. If we do not receive payment from the retailer, we are unable to pass this on to you.
Declined claims benefit neither our customers nor Quidco, so we do share your disappointment.
To add insult to injury I have not yet had my boiler serviced! It seems ironic to me that all the tiny amounts of cashback go into my account without problems yet the bigger amounts always get declined or I face spending a huge amount of time emailing Quidco to get my money. My last claim took 10 months. Unless you have lots of time on your hands I really think cashbacks are not worth the trouble. Quidco are still promoting cashback with British Gas so you have been warned!0 -
@mrs scrimpy, all is not lost as this is classed as a financial product as it's insurance based.
Quidco have tried to get your cash back and failed, so you will have to get it yourself. No need to deal with Quidco further as you have their final response.
Contact BG and make a complaint (it must be a complaint) and your complaint will go along the lines of 'mis selling of a financial product (insurance) due to the non payment of cash back that BG offer via affiliate marketing via their agents'. Advise if not resolved, you will have no option but to place your complaint in the hands of the financial ombudsman service (FOS). BG will have 8 weeks to investigate and give their final response. If the final response isn't in your favour, then straight to the FOS.
BG will be able to trace where you clicked through (ie Quidco) and the electronic trace will show the time and date of your transaction.

Good luck.No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.0 -

I know why it will have been rejected it is because I only have 2 packets of whiskas on this one the other 4 are on the other receipt I submitted from a different day (I bought 2 one day then noticed the offer and went back and bought another 4 the next day) but combining two days is not available on the uploads.

Could you tell me what are the chances of my RAC car insurance cashback claim being resolved please? I'm really annoyed, I looked at the reviews on the RAC insurance page on Quidco and a lot of them were not good at all - cashback not being paid being the most mentioned annoyance, a few people waiting a year or so. I decided (stupidly) that I would still take a chance and apply for it via Quidco and lo and behold it didn't track. I cleared my cookies, hadn't been to the RAC website before, so it should have tracked.
It's so annoying when this happens as there's months of waiting - sometimes over a year - while the company decides whether it's going to approve the cashback. And after all those months of waiting, it could still be a 'no.'
I wonder if anyone can look into this for me please?

Unfortunately, is does state in the terms and conditions, that Multibuy items must be purchased in the same shop, to be eligible for cashback.
I'm unable to find a another receipt that has recently been declined on your account.
If you could send me the receipt ID, I can certainly check this for you.

Seems to me Quidco are getting like TCB and declining cashback and holding onto it, i've spoken to Talktalk today who stated that Quidco were paid my cashback on 29th August 2014. So would you care to explain why it's saying "payment delay?" i have already taken one cashback site to court and won i will not hesitate to do the same with Quidco.
I'm sick to the back teeth of cashback sites thinking they can treat us like this.0
