Surely fixed v2 is due to be pulled soon? How long has it been out there?
Likewise - have - after comparing - changed from my online V9 to fixed 2. I could have gone for online 10 but if it goes up (by september next year - highly likely?) then fixed is beeter. Cost me around £61 more a year according to the advisor than the online 10 - i3 around 5.40 a month. BUT if prices on the online 10 rise by 10% then Im better off.
God its hard work. Not even sure if thats right. Am dreading next september though when I have to check again...Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -
I've also calculated that the fixed price 2 works out exactly the same cost as the new tariff for Online Saver V7.
Talking to the customer service person they do seem to have a lot of people switching to the fixed tariffr.
The Fixed 2014 would wouk out about 15% higher than the new tariff though, so expect more increases?0 -
Can any kind soul PM me a contact number for 'Social Media' at EDF.
I have tried googling but no joy. Do they come under a different name. 'Press dept' or something like that?0 -

Doesn't it depend when that rise occurs?
You are paying the 10% premium each month from the date of set up until the price rise.
Ignoring seasonality, if the comparable product rises in six months time, it would have to rise 20% for you to have broken even over a year.
Also, is the O/S 10 the cheapest variable deal for you from all Suppliers?0 -
We were with edf & change in May we are still waiting for our refund of £450 after 4 phone call they tell us it will be in our bank in 5 working days up to now it's still not there but they did'nt delay putting .the price up even those we told them it was to much thats why we are so much in credit not happy:mad:0

Yes it is the cheapest - have compared.
I know what you mean re: price rise but tbh its a 15 month deal and I can see them following other rises. Any excuse. Likely to rise mid winter.Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -

You may well be correct. I just wanted to point out the arithmetic involved because most people think they have made the right decision just because there is likely to be a price rise.:)0 -
I’m currently on EDF’s On Line Saver version 6 which comes to an end on the 30th June. My annual consumption is gas: 18780kWh and electric: 10927 kWh

I’m unsure whether to go for the Online S@ver v10 or Fixed S@ver V2

Using the EnergyHelpline comparison site, its suggesting that compare with my current tariff, OS v10 will be £59 more expensive as opposed to FS V2 at £177

But I’m guessing that as FS V2 is fixed till 09/12, OS v10 could ended being more expensive should there be a hike in prices (quite likely)

You need to recheck your leccy consumption. That's more than twice what woud be expected in a property with gas CH and DHW. 4,500kWh would be more typical. No free lunch, and no free laptop
