That's it - done and dusted. And managed to reduce my direct debits meantime too. So, hopefully, job well done!0

I am a customer with EDF on their online version 7 tarif. Just got a letter from them about price increases, and the following is astounding.
gas standing charge was 24.37p per day now 20.90 pence per day, so thats gone down, but my gas tarrif is now 3.141p per kw?h up from 2.639p per Kw/h.
Electric is much the sameStanding charge down from 26.62p per day to 22.25p, but tarrif is 9.45p up from 7.28, massive 25/30% rises.
This is goning to mean massive increses in my monthly payments.0 -
in light of all these increase and what i heard on the BBc this morning Scottish power who kicked of the recent batch of increase blamed it on wholesale gas prices. But wha tthe BBc have found out is that the the tarrif which they are putting up is the "first 225 kw/h tarrif, so the one who use the least will pay more, but in fact it is everyone, but is still going to hit the least well off more. Sottish power now blame incresed costs on the infrastructure.
We are bing taking for a ride in this country, year on year these companies get away with it while our Governments do nothing.
We need some sort of action like getting the whole country on one supplier, because lets face it between the dearest and cheapest ther is not much because of the fuel cartel that is being run in this country.0 -
OS7 Econ 7 prices are increasing in London to 13.21p day, 5.38 night (was 11.58p day, 4.81p). It looks like npower's Go Fix 6 is now the best deal for me (12.07p day, 4.29p night) but if I switch now will EdF want their £100 welcome bonus back? I know there'll be a £30 switching fee but that's still less than what I'd save with npower.
If I do have to give back the £100 I'll probably switch to EdF Fixed Saver v2.0 -

No, the Welcome Bonus will not be taken back, but you'll pay an ETC of £30 per fuel.No free lunch, and no free laptop

You're absolutely sure? All set to switch but don't want to lose £100. Tried to call EdF but couldn't get through - they say their system is down!0

Of course it's down-it's Saturday! No free lunch, and no free laptop

Their Legal Team.
I was told during online chat this morning if I do decide to reject their price increase and leave I would have to pay £30 termination per fuel though, they said they will not waive this. The termination fee outweighs the savings I would make by staying then switching in December.0 -
just swapped form version 7 to 10, no penalty via live chat, got e mail transcript if they try for it.0
