I was on this one....after looking around all the comparison sites, I have ended up with the fixed to 2014. Its more expensive that saver7, but everything is. It seems best all round. I am confident prices will rise, if anyone thinks they won't, please let em know why!
  • I had an online chat with an edf advisor . I asked the advisor to look at my average consumption and then compare the costs between the new online s@ver 7 prices with fixed s@ver 2. The Fixed S@ver V2 works out more expensive by £43.54 (5.88%) p/a inc VAT. Not sure whether to switch or not!

Right so i changed from online 7 to onlie 10, all is great, and when i log into my account today i find additional gas and electric charges. So i ring EDF the y tell the system creates antother bill, so both my gas and electric bills for may were charged at version 10 nearly £40 electric and £45 gas, now the advisor tell me he will sort this, so gonna give them a week, but thinking back this happeend in December last year when i swithed from online 2 to 7, but they told me it was correct, have asked edf to look further into my account to resolve, will give them a week to sort it out or i will contact consumer direct.

Hi, I have rang EDF to change my tariff from V7 to V10. The adviser taken my details and said someone will ring me back.

I have also provided my meter reading so I get charged on V7 price up til today. Any idea how long it takes for the tariff to change over?

    Thanks

It should be virtually instant-but, heh, this is EDF we're dealing with.
Why they would need to ring you back, only they know.
Have you tried changing the product in your online account instead?

My account is still on their old system so I do not have access to their online service until they move the account to the new system.

I don't think the lady I spoke with knew what she was doing - first she said their will be a charge of £25 for Gas & Electric, then when I pointed out in the T&C in only says about changing suppliers - she put me on hold and then came back saying I was correct but someone will need to call me back in order to change it. I will ring them again tomorrow.

I was kind of waiting for someone to say that! It is correct: there is 6 of us in our house and 3 are female! Electric showers, cooker, tumble drier and I loose count how often the washing machine get used!
Sinbad - with electric consumption that high get Solar panels ASAP!
