Was thinking of opening an A&L Premier Direct Current A/C so that I could open their 10% Premier Regular Saver account. Was interested in the £50/£50 refer-a-friend scheme but I've already got an A&L Direct ISA - would that exclude me from being eligible? (i.e. is it only open to completely new A&L customers or just new current account customers)
Cheers
Alan
PS Cheers for the Quidco reminder kopite4eva - it seems to pay to check their site before buying/applying for almost anything on the net!0 -

Hmmm. I opened my current account after being referred by a friend and applied via Quidco. What are the chances of getting the £50 referral bonus and also the £50 Quidco payment? One of it will be fine, but both would be nicer0

Well nothing to lose from trying anyway.

Forgive me for being dim, but can I clarify that there is no bonus for signing up unless you do so via a referral. I've read and re-read and I can't get it sorted in my head.0

You can get a £50 bonus by going via Quidco and get another £50 if you do a refer a friend - just PM if interested.
Cheers

My understanding is that the increase only applies to one type of current account.
I believe that the "one size fits all" in respect of bank accounts isn't realistic.
Our requirements for travel insurance means that the Lloyds account meets our needs at the right price.

A & L have just offered new Premier Direct Current Accounts 6.1%. As an established A & L Premier Direct Current Account holder I get 4.89%. If I closed my account and opened a new one, it would recognise me as an "existing" account holder. I would have to be inactive for 3 months to be recognised as a new account. So much for loyalty.0

Hey all,
Well I've been an A&L member for about 13 years now and don't know what I keep reading about their customer service, they've been utterly amazing in all that time I've dealt with them - and I'm a Premier Account holder... luck of the draw maybe?
Anyway, as I've already got the account I wouldn't mind getting £50 deposited into it ... does anyone out there who is looking to open this account want to buddy-up and use me to get their "recommendation" and their own £50 too?
Drop me a mail on here if you do,
adam.0
