I would like to open an Alliance & Leicester account and a Lloyds TSB current account. Please could anyone with either of these accounts refer me, so we can both obtain the incentives.

Hi danthemoneysavingman,
I can see you're a newbie so I just need to let you know that it's forbidden to offer to refer people to things on these boards. The only place this can be done is the referrers board (there are two A&L threads there you can post on.)
Regards

Who woud have thought these would become such a 'commodity'? Alliance & Leicester referrals are even bought and sold online, where you can find Alliance & Leicester referral vouchers on offer HERE.0

hey pm me. iveopened up one of them and need a referor!! or make a post here:beer:0 -
N.B. A&L are changing their overdraft charges from 22/10/07 - instead of charging 5.9% they are charging £0.50 per day (capped at £5 a month). For me, (who goes overdrawn for about 5-6 days a month by a couple of hundred pounds) this means an increase in bank charges of over 6000%. Be warned!
As someone has already suggested, you can get your revenge on A&L by getting the maximum overdraft possible out of them, then investing that money in another savings account - A&L will only be charging you £60 in fees per annum for the facility - as long as you can earn more in interest elsewhere you're quids in).0 -

The Bank Account article has been updated now with the new A&L info as well as other changes.
I have started a new discussion for it here:
