If you keep switching current accounts, doesn't it affect your credit rating?
When filling out any financial form, they ask if you have been with your bank for 3 years... so if you change all the time, surely that can't be good for your score?
...or do you keep one account stable (even if a very basic interest rate and thus you don't use it much or at all) and keep changing your main account? (is there any point in this?)0 -
ALLIANCE & LEICESTER
Is it possible to get £50 cashback via Quidco, AND cash via a friend referal??
Also, Quidco links to A&L Premier Account, but the account I want is the Premier Direct Account (the 6.1% one) ... will the cashback still apply to this one??0 -
Not sure if this has been picked up on yet, but if you get the A&L Premier current account (1.50% interest), get a Premier Regular Saver account and that will give you 12% interest. Down side is you can't make any withdrawals from it. But 12% interest!!!!Bank charges reclaimed: HSBC £1990
2007 Competition Challenge: Target £150
So far...£373.48 (MS Office 2007 Professional Edition) and a rizla tinI smell roses, but all I hear is flies0 -

I got both so it must work. Unless they've rumbled it and now check where you've been 'referred' from to the A&L site.0 -

I am currently with A&L and agree the Customer Service is not what I'd want. They also add any transactions/charges at the end of a day (just before midnight) so even if you are budgetting and watching stuff you might get caught out if you run a day late for something. You will get two different balances if you phone up and I have had it confirmed to me that they run two systems. I find this unacceptable and will be going back to First Direct who run a fantastic webiste and customer service.
Having said that, I am about to start a new thread asking about any referral schemes ( a la quidco) for opening a Nationwide account!
cheers

This is what I do as like you say you do get asked how long you've been with your bank etc. I also keep a stable one because otherwise I'd have to keep changing all my bank a/c details with Quidco, ebay, and various other sources such as mystery shopping companies...something would bound to go wrong somewhere.0
