Glad you have some positives there - great saving on the party too! I haven't done anything with Groupon yet - perhaps I should look into it.... I don't want it to be another avenue of temptation for me tho so have avoided it up until now

I've used groupon a few times, i've had some really good deals and i've also had some dodgy ones which to be honest have kind of put me off a bit...i still get the emails though and do check them out to see what's on offer ;)

ok update time as i only have little one at the moment so its fairly quiet!

Made £38.50 plus postage on my ebay items - 2 bits didnt sell so they are back up and maybe they will sell this time. Got some more bits to put on but camera not working so need to ask brother nicely to borrow his for an hour or so.

Party was good but went so quickly and we barely had time for food. Next group was coming in as were going out. DD and her friends had a great time so i guess all of the stressing etc was well worth it.

OH is currently doing his training. He has his test tomorrow at 2pm (please everyone cross those fingers and hope he passes). The instructor is happy with everything so i guess its just weather or not the test goes well or not. Just hope he can get a job asap once/if he passes. I like to know how much money is coming in and with the agency i dont know from one week to the next.

Not coping very well in this heat at the moment. I have always been bad but been feeling quite dizzy past few days and needing to lie down - not easy when walking everywhere.

Think i found some xmas pressies today in charity shop. For sister in law i have found some books she likes so just waiting to see if she has them - only 25p each so i got them both - never been read by looks of them.

Avon going well although had some issues with delivery which i think has put a few customers off. Got the new territory so will get bigger orders hopefully and therefore bigger profits. With last lot of profit i paid off whole of 1 debt (smallest at just under £80) which was great. One less to pay. A friend i walk to school with each day is urging me to do dmp as she has been through it and says its the best thing. I just need to convince OH, but same old thing of 'lets wait and see' seems to come up each time i mention it, so guess we wait until he has his new job whether its big or small lorries he will be driving!

Not had the car at all this week so havent been able to do food shop and have been living out of freezer and cupboard most of the time which is great as no money being spent on petrol or food (from my account anyway!)

Well must go and pick DD up from school then DS from nursery and then afterschool club then bed for us all i think lol - sorry for the long post :)

and glad that the party went well :) .....i'll keep my fingers x'd for hubby!! If he doesn't pass can he re-take it?

I agree with friend get hubby on board and try to get down the dmp route, you will feel like a weight has been lifted. In the mean time keep plugging away though, you've done so well so far :)...and have one less debt now :j (ok so was a small one....but i can't personally wait to tick creditors off lol)

    Glad Avon is going well.

    Hope OH's course goes ok

DMP is a big decision I can understand why your OH doesn't want to take it lightly.... Hopefully he will get a job soon and you can reassess everything then

ok positive attitude here so have just signed up to make £5 a day in october. I am also going to try to have 10 NSD's in october (not including bills). This should make and save money. Am going to list debts and start chipping away at them.

Cant remember if i mentioned it but i have got a few months free car insurance. I renew my insurance in april and best deal was with AA this year. All done and then they called me a week or so ago saying that the people that they have insured me with do not insure 7 seaters. Ahhh I thought but then they said that they have transfered me to another insurance company and this will now run to sept 2012 rather than april 2012. I keep paying what i have been paying even though it should be more, plus i only pay up until april. They will pay from may to sept. Great result so several months free insurance :)

Feeling very positive this evening and going to sort through a few bits while its all quiet here :)

  • great deal on the insurance! I've just had to renew mine a couple of months ago, luckily we had some savings so i got it in one go as they were charging 11% interest for monthly direct debits! I've never ever checked things like that before....(tut tut)

Good luck to hubby today hope he gets his pass so you can start looking forward :)

yay he passed - a long day of worrying but he passed with flying colours. Now to get a decent job. There is one paying in theory up to 57k but think that may be out of his reach at the moment - will still apply just in case - that would sort our debts out!

    Anyway happy evening here :)
