SAHM paying off debts slowly

It is quite nippy here today. OH gone off for interview for big lorries (yay) but buggy in boot of car (boo). Had to ring friend to see if i could borrow her spare as there was no way i could do school run, afterschool club and nursery run both ways carrying little one!
Got just under £500 for this campaigns at avon so have hit all of my targets for the first 6 books that i have done and should receive a big bag as incentive prize
Its official i have no money left (sorry i know your all thinking 'weve told you what to do') Transfered last of savings over to main bank account to pay some of the bills. OH got job on sat at time and half pay so that will make up for the no work today.
Just wondering what we are going to have for dinner. I know there is a pizza in the freezer as its right at the top each time i open it but we also had one on monday night so might have to be a little healthier and do something else. Did spanish chicken last night as it was all on special offer - i was the only who liked and ate it, everyone else complained the whole way through and hardly ate it - dont know why i bother making things sometimes!
Thanks for the ideas about kicking the expensive fizzy drinks. May have to wean myself off - perhaps buy one of each and alternate until i can go onto store brand only. I can tell the difference however i dress it up but i also only used to have heinz ketchup and now smartprice is much nicer!
We have a new morrisons opening on monday morning so might have to investigate when their reduced bit go on offer. It is definately closer than the other supermarkets i have to walk to so think i may be there for the odd bits and pieces. I hope they take coupons, i must check
Well must go and do some work before OH comes home and finds me on laptop yet again (i sware he must wait outside the window until i turn this thing on then pounce and complain i have been on it all morning!)
Bye for now

Well OH had his interview with the agency for bigger lorries. They dont know if they will be able to get him much work straight away as he has no experience on the bigger lorries - really how do you get this experience if no one will give you the chance? He felt it was a waste of time but i guess only time will tell. He has work for tomorrow and saturday so at least something will come in next friday. He has a mini sitting in the garage (his restoration project that he hasnt started) and i think we will end up selling it to keep us going.
Doing really badly with making £5 a day. Got another £3 today from survey but thats all that i have managed. Need to start thinking of ideas for this one. Already thinking ways to promote xmas stuff for avon.
Ok positive thinking from now on or you can all slap me

Spent last night making long list of things i need to get done in October. It is long so wont post it here but have printed it out and am going to make a start on it once DS is at nursery today.
Just made some yummy tiffin for a treat and think today will be a NSD. Not planning on going to the shops anyway! Its too cold and i already have enough walking to do.
Think 1st job this afternoon is going to be kitchen and clear dinning table as it a dumping ground for everything. Then i can write a list of whats in freezer and cupboards and store cuboard. Also need to do a few more batches of baby food for little one. I am going to be busy today

Hi SLM
Sorry to hear its still such a struggle. Good that your OH has got some work. Really hope he gets the driving work he needs soon.
No-one on here has the right to say "I told you so" and most of us are on here because we've made plenty of our own mistakes in the past - and certainly me at my worst spending wise - would cause lots of current MSEers sleepless nights if it was them.

I am taking pictures of baby stuff to sell on ebay as we speak so will get that posted on there this afternoon and hopefully make some pennies. I do beleive that we will be ok in the end, but its the inbetween bit that were in at the moment that scares me as i have always been on top of money (although you wouldnt beleive it now!). I have been making crayon wraps for the kids at xmas and thought maybe i could sell a few on ebay. I have plenty of spare material and the pencils only cost about 25p so make profit after that. Something to try i guess.Me, DD1 20, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/190

slm I like the idea of the crayon wraps! I saw some on a facebook page last year made from felt but i didn't have the money then. Although I was definitely interested as they were personalised with the child's name on and she did them with crayons and some with pencils and a small amount of paper....if you are on fb have a look at some of the groups you may find other ideas you can borrow??Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. i dont suppose you know how much they were being sold for? My friend has just started selling wooden letters and personalised items like taggies etc so may see if she want to sell them for me if that makes sense. She has already said she will pay me to make the taggies as she is bored of doing these already! When my nan died i inherited her stash of material, buttons, sewning stuff that she has been collecting for many many years. Some of it i recognise as have had summer dresses made from it etc I could honestly do with getting rid of a lot of it as i dont really have the space so really could make use of itMe, DD1 20, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/190
