SAHM paying off debts slowly

Not really as they prefer a bit of paper saying how much OH will be paying each month. I also cant really do much until OH has signed paperwork. Need to pluck up enough courage to ask him if he has sent it off. It might be delayed at their end rather than he hasn't sent it, but also wouldn't put it past him.
Just had a work meeting online. Everyone seems keen to get going now - we open Thursday. Also got note saying we will now only get paid for the hours that we actually do. Up until now it has been basic hours normally worked. Good job benefits cover most things, but not great for the mortgage application. I will deal with that when it comes, plus July is only half a month anyway as finish on the 22nd, and then august is zero hours, but 2 weeks holiday pay, so it was always going to be low.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Good morning. Feeling positive today. Have already been and collected one of the laptops. The other will be ready tomorrow. So far only £20, but that was the less damaged one. Have transferred my refund to the emergency fund and updated my spreadsheet. I should be able to transfer quite a bit over to it this month if all goes to plan. Whilst sorting the spreadsheet i noticed that i had budgeted for a boiler service. Must mean i need to book it as the anniversary is coming up. Not sure if they are up and running as yet. Will send the man an email and see.
I best get on with some work work or i will not be paid for today. Have a great dayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Just realised that in theory it is this weekend that the kids should go and spend with their dad (if we have gone back to the original agreement), but nothing has been agreed since they last went. I'm going to leave it up to him to contact me, at least that way i would know if he is keen to have them or not. Will make them take their masks this time in case daddy takes them to places they would not go with me.
Not getting much done as waiting for 3.30 when mortgage man calls - feeling nervous. Not sure why as nothing i can do about the figures and had already set myself up for a no sorry. Not much worse they can do so why am i nervous lolMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

OK so off the phone with the mortgage company and i am cautiously positive. He has to speak with the underwriters as my income can fluctuate due to only working term time, as well as having benefits which make up the big proportion of it. We have agreed the best way forward should i be accepted, would be to have a repayment mortgage for 24 years (longest they can do) using the same deal i am on. Although it might not be as low as some, they said it would be easier to stay with the same deal and i would also not need to pay £3500 or more in early repayment fees. I have another 3 years on the fixed rate. The monthly fee would go up from current payment of £154 to new payment of £384. I had allowed £500 a month so could overpay the remaining amount and bring the length of the mortgage down. So everyone keep your fingers and toes crossed that the underwritiers say yes and that the credit score is all ok for them. Really quite excited but dont want to get my hopes upMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Such fantastic news! I'm so pleased for you. You've got a plan and its sorted for three years! And if you overpay as you plan to you'll have even less to find you can borrow when the deal is up. Much much better than a no!
Hope it puts a pep in your step! XxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

OK kids going to Daddy's this weekend so I have 24 hours to myself - what to do? Shhh because last time everyone wanted my attention. It was really kind of them all making sure I didn't feel lonely, but I had no time to myself. I plan on hot bubble bath, lazy evening and spicy (well more than the kids like) food lol. I can do some work and play with my spreadsheets (sad I know but i enjoy it) and watch a film with a rating of more than 12 maybe lol. I will brace myself for the attitudes on their return!Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
