On a positive point for the day they fish tank will be going to an old school friend at some point - yay. Been trying to get rid of it for years but OH kept replacing the fish each time one died. We can rearrange the sofas and wont need to pay to heat or use the pumps. Surely a few pounds to save each month. I feel bad to hand it over in the state it is in, but have warned herMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Yay to losing the fish tank!
Please don't do anymore mortgage applications. Mortgages right now are changing every few days. All the criteria and what they'll lend against is all over the shop. You can use a free broker but better still find a recommended local one - it's worth the money in your situation. You need this mortgage too much and you want a good rate.
No surprise that he made the time later, no. Forget him and focus on you and your kids. He will pop in and out while you can focus on building your new life with your home sorted. You're a superstar and you deserve to get all that you want on your terms no compromising to anyone else xxxx

Thank you Kitten for you kind words. I don't intend on any more applications as yet. I know it will get sorted and family will not see us on the streets. In some way if we were forced out of this house it would at least mean we get a new start. Maybe not the way I would like it to happen but a new start.
And yay the fish situation being sorted is good although DD want them to stay, even though she wont put her hand in the tank either. She knows it makes sense though and knows they will be looked after.

Good Morning to you all. I had a busy day yesterday even though I was child free for a little while. My dad came by and helped put my new tv on the wall and took the old one away, which means we can remove the chest it was standing on. I have put this up on website and have a handful of people wanting it so it will be gone by Monday. The room seems so much bigger already. I went for my first social distancing walk and chat with my best friend in the park. Its silly but I ache today. I really need to get my fitness up again. I had my curry and enjoyed my tv and went to bed. Up showered and dressed early as i was supposed to have a band meeting and needed to do the accounts ready for that. As we are doing it in the garden and it is drizzling it have been postponed for an hour. I personally think it might not happen even then as see no signs of sun at the moment. Oh well at least I am up to date with the accounts now.
Kids will be home in time for Sunday roast this evening. Will be nice to hear what they have been up to. I know they went to a family bbq yesterday which i wouldn't have advised but i guess when they are with him its his choice. They will be stripping at the door when they get home and clothes straight in the wash as wet dog smell is not nice (his whole family and now him have dogs and their houses and clothes always smell. I'm sure most peoples houses don't smell with dogs but theirs do - hope i don't offend anyone). His nana has just invited me round as i might be feeling lonely. Not sure i've had time yet to be lonely as everyone has had the same idea to keep my busy. Anyway off to get ready for meeting. Have a great fathers day

I am a mean mum and am being silly. Kids have returned home from their dads after 1 night and have obviously been told I am silly re dog / his relatives / virus / everything really, and what's worse is they believe it. I know eventually they will see his true colours but feel I am fighting a battle as he is the fun dad and I am the one who makes them brush their teeth and do their school work or tidy their rooms. Told them all to go have a shower as they did smell and that was wrong. Attitudes are as if they are spoilt brats - only been 24 ish hours. It sounds horrid but why couldn't he have just disappeared and not want to see the kids. He slept most of this afternoon while they were there again. Might as well have been home with me. He just winds me up. Just don't get how a person can change so much. He told the children he will have a house in 2 years time and become a dog breeder with his dog (german shepherd) and a Rottweiler (that is owned by the lady that I have always suspected to be the reason for our split). I am really not a dog person as you may have gathered but surely those 2 breeds are not great together. And can just anyone just breed dogs to sell? I have a feeling you should only buy from trusted people.
Anyway I have had a busy time and glad they are back. At least I have 2 weeks before they need to think about them going again. 2 weeks to get my children back to respectable polite children that are kind to everyone.

I've heard the same from a mate about her ex. Mum tying herself in knots to not take kids to the shops then he can't handle not taking them in despite not having them longer than an afternoon. Makes your blood boil.
Hope you got shot of the dog smell.

Sun is shining and chest is ready for collection outside the house so all positive. Kids started to mellow a little by bedtime so hopefully a quick recovery and back into school work this morning. Older 2 have zoom meetings at 9.15 so will need to be woken up soon.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

What another lovely day. 3 loads of washing cleaned and dried - never get it put away the same day lol. Felt very productive today so got a few bits done on top of the normal school work. Yesterday I did some actual work the boss dropped round and then later picked it up. I think she appreciated me getting it done so quickly. I did order a desk chair yesterday as I keep getting a bad back on the kitchen chairs. Plus if it looks like we will be working from home for a little while I thought I would get one.
I have today asked the divorce people to contact OH and ask him to send the papers back asap, as when I have asked he either gets stroppy or says he will do it but clearly hasn't. Hopefully someone official asking will get him going a little quicker. However I have just read the email as it was copied to me and its fairly brief and (I want to say non threatening) not something he will really want to act apon. I guess it might just be the nudge to get it in the post. I can also see nothing on the child maintenance application online that I put in on 28th May. It says its normally sorted within a month so will leave it a little longer before I ask if they have managed to contact him or his work. OH just doesn't open letters and because they are in a box somewhere and not put through his door, he is even more likely to just ignore them. Just want things to move on so I can too

Going to be hot today. Plan on getting beds stripped and washed and back on beds while the weather is good. Never know how long it will last in uk lol. Food delivery day so that will fill the fridge again. Hopefully my order of salad bits wont bring the rain and cold back as it normally does! Its benefits payday tomorrow so will look at the budget and money pots. Got a few birthdays coming up so need to plan and budget for those. Anyone know of cheap card shop online? Not sure if i'm ready for the high street shops yet Right off for a shower and to get things going for the dayMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Card Factory do cards online even personalised. Definitely take a look.
Sorry he's dragging his feet about the divorce. And great work on the beds. This weather is great for whipping through the washing. Only time the machine can't keep upI also never get it away the same day. Who can be bothered?
