Thank you Mumoffourkids.  Im glad its not just me going round in circles.  I shouldn't be complaining about being due inheritance, but its almost easier if I knew it wasn't coming.  I don't want to start the new mortgage here, which i would be doing fixed for 5 or 10 years if i could, but then in a few months decide its time to move.  OH was never keen on moving and said kids didn't need their own rooms and how him and his 5 step brothers all shared a room at one time or another.  No they don't NEED a room of their own but for my sanity I would  like them to have their own space, and because of the size of the room there is no way for it to be split into 2 areas.  But was the reason for him not wanting to move just because he knew he was going to leave me anyway?  I so long for a second toilet in our life lol.

OK so I asked about the middle school land, and it turns out only the building site is set for development and the playing field is being left as field for the primary school.  They also said they have had 10 viewings in the past few days and already have 1 offer on it.  So I am guessing it will be gone before very long.  Agent did say he has sold more in the past 12 days that he had since the beginning of the year.  Markets are looking good at the moment, which makes me think maybe it is time.  I have asked for more details on the house near my dad.  This one has been on the market for quite a while now so hopefully wont be going too quickly just incase I get my head straight lol

I regularly go round in circles over housing. I do love where we live but it is an expensive house to run. When we moved here we were surrounded by fields, whereas now 3 fields have been built on. The ex drops in too frequently for my liking so moving does have its appeal.  But so many things to consider and factor in to any decision.

Well done for finding out about the middle school field. At least you know the position now.

It's difficult. Without knowing if your ex will not ask for anymore after the £20k or how long til you get your inheritance its hard to advise. I do now that when we were looking at mortgages natwest accepted child tax credits. It's a rubbish time to be trying to get a mortgage and I would consider talking to a broker. They know who takes what and it's even harder as they keep changing their minds. Theres too much you can't know when you need to for your family. Keep strong and keep doing what you're doing. Xxxx

Thank you for reading my ramblings and then commenting, it means a lot.  Today I have woken with the mindset of take the safe option and stay put.  If i get the money i can do things up, if not it stays as it is and i pay the mortgage off asap.  Maybe at this point i look at moving. By then the kids will be older and possibly gone and i could be working and earning more.  Lots might have changed by then.  I am sure i will be back tomorrow wanting to move again, but for today i am being grateful for what i have.
Its a lovely sunny day here, got roast for dinner and we are all healthy.  We need another good clean up as now stepping over things.  Yesterday i braved the lidl for a few urgent items.  It was later in the day so very empty which i found reassuring as ive heard they are not great at social distancing there.  I did wonder if i was following the rules too but no signs so made sure i just kept out of others way.  Got some more bread flour while i was there.  This has been impossible to get but they had loads.  Also stocked up on my diet coke that i live on and a few other items that they do better / cheaper versions of.  I felt good to go there get lots of food for little money unlike current shopping.

I've found Lidl to be really good recently.  I think the only time it's really crowded is if you go on a Thursday morning first thing when they change the "middle aisle" if they've got something that lots of people want, like a few weeks ago they had ice cream makers cheap and it was horrendous.  I saw the queue and decided not to bother!

Went on Friday morning this week about 10 o'clock and it was pretty empty and no problems with SD.

That's good to know.  As that was my first experience of supermarket while in this situation I wasn't really that sure what to expect.  My lovely neighbour up until now had been going for me, but was a bit hit and miss so i never knew which day he was going and i have an addiction for my coke!  Yesterday i was on my last bottle and i decided if it was looking empty on the way past i would brave it.  I have missed the place lol.
Am watching kirsty and phils love it or list it programme, on demand and perhaps i need them to come and sort me out lol.  Not brave enough to go on tv though.  Giving me ideas and showing me what might be needed and the problems that might come up.

Good morning, back to school work this morning.  I need to get the washing on first as the sun is out at the moment and not sure if its here to stay. I also need to continue tidying the house at the same time.  Upstairs isn't too bad but downstairs is still very messy and needs sorting today.  I see the non essential shops are opening today and people are queuing outside primark - think I will pass on that for the moment.  I wonder why Primark haven't taken this time to set up online like many of the other high street stores.  I am sure they would have made lots of sales that way.
Anyway I better get going.  I hope you all have a great day :)

Primark's business model isn't made for online. Or for social distancing for that matter. I was shown pictures of the queue for my local and I was shocked. They must have cleared out at least 60% of their rails. One person who queued came into my work and said they were underwhelmed by what they had. Hmm

I think staying put is the smartest thing to do and the cheapest. I do love lioli. And I am the kind of person that knocks down walls and reconfigures. So I would look at that first. However if you can't stay you could always rent for a year and then once all your ducks are in a row you could look at buying again. It would be a year on so you could do more hours at work potentially and have received your inheritance. And you'll only have to answer to yourself and what you want when it comes to what to do with the current house or choosing the new house xxxx

Thank you Kitten868, one minute I think that and then a house pops up in a good location that is within the price range that I think I can afford and it looks lovely with all the bedrooms and extra space we need.  I know that by the time I have put this one on the market and then sold it (if I can) the nice one will be gone.  We were on the market over a year last time and had barely any viewers and not one offer even though it was priced in everyones eyes as good value.
