You would thinkk so but no. He left at 6 this morning so 2 hours of alarms going off as it was supposed to be 4am. He rang and appologised which is quite an acheivement as he normally just buys us takeaway. He however has mentioned fish and chips tonight so not completely changed

Wow what a busy few days. We got a phone call from hospital re DD teeth. They had a cancellation for yesterday so finally they were coming out. The night before (after arranging childcare for other children) my DS decided to have really bad cough, high temp and trying to be sick. After dosing up with calpol and rearranging childcare thanks to a very very good friend we went off to hospital and removal of teeth was very easy - although had slight panic attack and dizzy spell when they said they were removing 3 rather than 2. Poor girl would have none left as already has 2 gaps from baby teeth that have fallen out all by themselves. We left hospital around 4 and went to collect the others. DS still very poorly and off food (very unlike him). Rang doctors as temp was still very high and had now produced a rash. Off to dr we go only to find out he has bad case of tonsilitis and a course of penicillin for next 10 days. heart sank as i have only just stopped having to go up the school for DD and her medicine each day! Anyway DS wont take medicines - not even calpol so its a fight 4 times a day and i cant exactly sit on him in the school reception. Anyway have spent more money on medicines to keep both ids pain free and seems to be working as they are a lot more chirpy. Going to have a farily quiet weekend as OH out for the night tonight so can do easy food. Thinking cheese and potato pie and baked beans - easy for DD to eat with her lack of teeth!
Hoping next week will be a lot calmerMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Right less of the moaning - i have made my shopping list and done a menu plan. Hoping to only need a few items as got a lot in the freezer and cupboards plus am feeling a little skint! Paid for childrens swimming lessons today and wiped out that pot - well nearly as i have £11 left to go towards next terms.
Also sorted out tax credit renewal the other day so just waiting to see how much we will get each week - hoping its not too different from last year or the menu plans for each week will have to be rethoughtMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

I am scared. I have just booked dentist for myself and was in tears on the phone. Sure receptionist thought i was a baby. I have appointment today at 2.20 - at least i wont be worrying all week if its today. Am hoping they are nice and wont use the proddy tool. Just give me pain killers or medicine and a referal to hospital. Cant tell you how nervous i am feeling right now. Have a friend coming with me in the car to look after kids but feel i might make a fool of myself with the crying etc. Wish i could just have all the back ones out whilst asleep and given dentures as thats probably what will happen - but need to be asleep. Look i am now rambling - will be back later if i survive to updateMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well i survived and i am several pounds worse off (£18 for appointment and £15.70 i thin it was for medicine). I had a meltdown as soon as i walked into the dentists room - bet the denist thought i was a right pain. Anyway i told her i didnt want the pokey thing and she just looked - to be fair as soon as i open my mouth it is quite obvious what the matter is anyway. She has taken an xray (i dont mind these) and given me some medicine to clear any infection. I am to book apointment for full mouth xray and then she will refer me to hospital for teeth out under GA. Great news although this is what the last dentist said and once in hospital they said ring myself to only sedation which i cant bring myself to go through - we will see. At least the hard bit is out of the way for today.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well done for surviving the dentist
they are pretty scary and I don't even have a particular phobia about them (mine is creepy crawlies instead!) But I know how I go about those, even just thinking about them leaves me freaked out so I understand how you must have felt. Hope it's all sorted out soon for you

don't worry what anyone else thinks. I'm petrified of spiders, and i mean petrified  even typing the word makes me shiver. I go nuts at the sight of them so your dentist should be thankful you don't over react as much as I do:rotfl: I have friends here who are scared of dentists. It seems dentists and spiders are at the top of most people's lists :rotfl: so i'm sure the dentist has seen it before :rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000.
