Again, good luck to the OP.
You sound like a reasonably intelligent person so I'll assume that you're ignoring the op's wishes rather than being too daft to understand the request for zero opinions??
Presumably, you do not know the OP so how you can suggest that this decision has been made with little or no consideration is beyond me.
Crawl back under your stone - perhaps take a dictionary with you and look up the definition of 'sanctimonious'.

Hello all. Firstly thank you for the support I have recieved and for all of you who have PM's me as well

Went to the doctors this morning and she is pretty sure that I am under 12 weeks (she had a good feel and said you can normally 'feel' if over 12 weeks) plus what with my dates etc.
We had a talk and she is referring me to the local pregnancy unit at the hospital. She said I will have to go firstly just for an appointment to talk it through with them and then they will book me in for the treatment.
She said they will also help me decide which type of treatment to have. She said there is the tablet treatment in which they give me a tablet to take which makes me miscarry. They send you home straight away with this and she said you will just bleed very heavily. She said the other treatment is the suction method where I will be put to sleep completely and takes all day.
I didn't realise they actually put you under for it? I assumed you were just sedated slightly?
Now just waiting for the call, she said it would come any time this week.0 -
Wait and see what the hospital says. I know that the private clinics do the suction version under light sedation and you leave an hour or so later. It may depend on their policy and perhaps the number of weeks.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0 -

I think it depends how far along you are, if it's very very early it's no more than a D&C, if a bit further there's more to it. Hopefully when you go to the hospital they will scan you and will be able to tell you exactly what will happen.
Hope that call comes soon sweetheart.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
HI I just wanted to say good luck and sending hugs your way
I have had to do this and its not easy BUT was the right thing to do at the time,i now have three lovely children.
I had the traditional suction method and was put to sleep and can honestly say it wasnt painful just emotionally you feel 'empty' after, just make sure you have a warm bed, plenty of chocolate and a good light hearted dvd to go home to.
If you want to talk I am here for you hun

Just been thinking about something, and obviously this is going to be on my record. Would this ever get mentioned again in front of possible partners?
I mean I may tell them, but I also may chose not to! and I don't really want a doctor blurting it out in the middle of a consultation.0 -

I'm pretty sure they are not allowed to mention anything like that in front of a partner, but to make sure you can always let them know in advance that you want it kept confidential. If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right - Henry Ford0 -
Mine have never been mentioned and I've been through 2 pregnancies and various gynae procedures with partners present.
Strange thing though, when we changed doctors because we moved all my notes were put onto a computerised system that the doctor let me see, there was no mention on there at all. Although it did show that I had my adenoids ot when they did my tonsils, which is something I never knew!Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
