You are going to throw away a child who loves you and you will adore him/her. The truth is you will regret doing this and solving your immediate problem will just give you another you will never deal with, it will pull you down till your dying day. That said, your choice - don't ever blame anyone/anything else. Maybe you need to listen to your heart not your head.

Who the hell are you to say whether she will regret this?

She has obviously made her decision, and is coming across as a very level headed person, it's obviously just not the right time for her.

Get off your high horse, you arrogant idiot.

She won't regret it because it is HER decision no-one is pressuring the OP to make this decision and she has made it based on her OWN circumstances.

Op sepcifically asked in her opening post for no pro life / anti abortion replies so maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself

I last had sex about a month ago, and before then was regular.

I've been on the pill since I was 15 but last month was my last one and I've been having periods fine. I finished my pack about 27th April, had a period and havent took a pill since (last sex was before this date) or had a period.

I know it's hard to tell when your on the pill as they produce 'fake periods' as such.

I know you don't want to scare me but I'm praying im not too far gone!!

Edit to add: I will not regret this as I know it's the right decision for me. I've been thinking about it good and hard and know I am doing what is right in my head and heart.

Hopefully you are only 4 or 5 weeks and as you say the pill can make things all over the place. You know you are not ready for children otherwise why be on the pill in the first place.

For goodness sake, you know nothing about the OP and cannot say that this is the way she will feel. You have no right to shove your beliefs down anyones throat and try to guilt trip them into giving birth to a chiild the DO NOT want.

She specifically asked for this thread not to turn in to a pro/anti discussion, you need to respect that and take your opinions where they are wanted.

  • Just to update, 'dad' has just got back to me. He was shocked, asked if I was ok (surprised at this as we didn't end on good terms) and asked what I wanted. I explained what I was planning to do and he agreed it was for the best.

He's offered to come with but I said it's ok and he lives quite a distance away!

It sounds to me like you have been there, done it and are now struggling with your decision. What is right for the OP might not be the same as you. I suggest that instead of coming on here and telling the OP how to think and what she will feel you get help to address your own problems.

That is really good news. Speaks volumes about what a great person you are that he was so concerned about you.

I've reported facingthefuture's post for not respecting the OPs request and for posting lies. I'm quite sure that the majority of women who have had an abortion have no regrets about it or any big psychological trauma.

OP - no one wants to do this, but it is clearly for the best in this case and I'm glad you are getting some support from your ex. You'll feel a lot better after you've seen your GP and you know what's what.

Good luck op, you sound strong and confident in your choice, let nobody make you feel guilty or bad for doing this, your life, your body.
