Here. Download, install, run every couple of weeks.

It has a number of functions. The main ones are [Hard disk] Cleaner and Registry [Cleaner]. The first will scan your hard disk for redundant files and remove them (definitely useful), the second will scan your computer's registry for errors and redundant entries and correct them (controversial - may be useful). Both are safe to use.

No, CCleaner is free if you click on one of the free links a few lines below, I usually use filehippo, here is the direct link:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner
You do not want registry reviver-not the same thing.

No, click the link 'Download latest version'. on the right hand side of the page.
You are going to the RR 'download now' link directly below the heading in error.

i apologise, please be patient with me... i know... i know... i am damn hard work:D
  • Hi Lexx,
Another useful too is WinDirStat (Windows Directory Statistics, you'll have to search for it because I can't post links as a newbie). That will give you a visual display of the hard-disk, highlighting where most of the disk space is being used. If you want to put up some information from that then we might be able to give you some pointers of what can be removed. !Please consider that a list or image of your directories and files may give away more information than you realise so err on the side of caution!

    Hope this helps :o)

    Run CCleaner.

    Do the Check Disk.

Turn off System Restore and then turn it back on (that will delete all your old restore points and create a new one).

Seriously though, for the THIRD time, you have 32GB of wasted free space on D. It's a simple 5 minute job to merge and add it to your C.

:j well i have run ccleaner & its freed 3.77 gb

not having success with transfering files on drive C to D,
i am trying to do the least complicated thing, but i guess its not working, brain is hurting:(

i guess i need to do the merge thing
