Well its been a carp couple of days, another disappointing and depressing appointment with the knee consultant. Apparently now i have arthritis in my left knee, which will likely get worse. My right knee is now playing up. I mean its been a year since i broke my left knee cap and i still can't walk properly, and left knee cracks and creaks constantly. Its that loud the nurse on receptionist could hear and i was about 200 yards away in a consultancy room. But they saying there's nothing they can do and told me to get on with it.:mad:

I mean how hard can it be to look at a scan and say yes your knee fooked. Oh and because of my age they won't treat me as i'm too young. So i'm going to see the GP tomorrow to see what i can do about it, to say i'm not happy is nothing.

Sorry about the rant peeps :o

Ah well came back and got our room, the boys, car and most of the front room sorted. The stairs are now clear :jand now i'm going to have a cuppa and figure out how i'm going to repair an oversuit.

Toots Thanks for your kind words of wisdom they have helped me focus on my priorities and get together some sort of a plan. I will fit the daily flying tasks into short study breaks. (ie. 15 minutes study then 1 task from my list whilst my brain absorbs what I have just learnt). This should help me to understand what I am learning & keep the house clean and tidy.

    Today I have completed levels 1,2 & 3,
    Walked dogs
    S&S bathroom
    S&S kitchen
    washed up
and managed about 2 hours of study. I shall force myself to do it until it becomes habit again.

LOL at Kezlou's medical diagnosis - fooked knee :rotfl:

seriously though I do feel your pain - I had a dioiagnosos of RA in my twenties and a worst-case scenario of a wheelchair bu now - fortunately I had a 'miraculous' recovery.

There is stuff you can do to ease it - don't let them fob you off.

I think its definitely made my mind up that Im going to take the one Ive seen. Ive decided the bigger a house we have, the more crapola we find to fill it with! So Ive decided to downsize :D

My friend thinks though that I might regret moving to a smaller place - can anyone offer an opinion?

Its downsizing from a 3bed semi with front and back gardens (heavy maintenence) plus garage and driveway to a 2 bed flat, but its more modern, bigger kitchen ie it has a dishwasher and more than 3 cupboards! It also has a bathroom plus ensuite shower room (just now we have one bathroom and no WC). It has no gardens :j , (but there is a park literally right next door for LO to play in and Ive been round at night and no kids hang around there...!)

Has anyone else downsized with a family and regretted it?
Jo honey I dont know - I am sure you have thought about the down-sizing but just in case.....
what if you have another child?
where do friends or your Mum sleep when they come to stay
Is the bedroom big enough if S wants someone to sleep-over
    What about OH?
    Is there plenty storage?
what if you fancy having a BBQ?
You will need to have a serious declutter or you will be in the same muddle in a smaller place if you follow my drift - you need to downsize the amount of furniture
think of all the things that are in the spare room and the garage - can you do without them or where will they go?
i quite agree that we expand to fit our surroundings - it def sounds as if the upkeep will be a lot less for you and therefore you should be able to keep it in order a lot easier and hopefully it will be cheaper upkeep as well - although there may be a maintenance charge?

Angel I am sure you will make the right decision and if its rented and it doesnt work then you can move cant you?
    (((hugs)))

nice to see you cally and castri:D
kezlou sorry to hear about your bad knee - its hard to take it all in - I think they wont give you a new knee because it only lasts about 10 years and they can only do it twice if I remember correctly - feel free to rant - thats what friends are for (((hugs)))
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Well, tomorrow i am going to work in 15 minute incriments. I think i read it on one of the flylady emails if i remember rightly... I will set my kitchen timer to 15 minutes and start in one room, moving on to the next room when the beeper goes and restarting the clock. Hopefully this will make me do more because i won't feel like i have a massive task ahead of me. Plus, i bet you can get more done in just 15 minutes than you think you can! Anyone else fancy joining me to try it?

I'm also going to get me a toots list. There are a bazillion jobs about the house that need doing and my head feels like it might just pop off when i try to think of them all at once. A list will sort me out no end i reckon!

Wednesdays can be great for getting stuff done cause DD goes to nursery, but i have DS still. It was much easier when he was a newborn and slept a lot of the time!! :rotfl:
    Sarah. :p
DD is 8 years old DS1 is 6 years old
    DS2 is 14 months old

hey valli, i should be a doctor, "aye ya tired like, have a brew, it'll make ya better!"

Thanks , i'll speak to the gp and see what they can do. Anythings better than "nothing we can do"

((((hugs))) thanks toots, your a star :D
10 years?!. I sound so ignorant, thought they last longer than that :o.

Anyways just going to keep on physio and kick up a fuss, when needed. After all, i'm still kicking it! Well the air anyway!

ah OH just gave me a cuppa, heaven.

P.S Uropachild, thats what do at th mo. 15-20 mins flying, 45 minutes rest. I seriously can't do anymore than that or i'm shattered. But surprisingly it works!
