thanks. Not too bad. No malignant cells, but not normal, so will need treatment... 6 months of hormones, so I'll be even more grumpy and difficult than normal :p

    how did you do Dancemum?

I got quite a bit done, then had argument with DH about the double glazing, its all failed and no matter how much you clean the windows it makes very little difference. At best you look through a fog, at worst you look through a waterfall. It needs replacing but the frames wont take the new regulation double glazing so that means new windows, which we can't afford now and I don't see him in any hurry to save for them.
my parents have had this problem and you can get the existing units mended as a temporary fix. It won't last forever, but then neither will new glazing.

Been out for a leg wax so now need a rest...

I don't get why people don't like wooden windows... so they need painting every 10 years or so... once plastic goes yellow/mouldy/grubby there's not much you can do except throw it out. Plus its from a non-renewable source and therefore not at all eco friendly!

I still have wood frames and single glazed metal windows (apart from the french windows, utility room and side of the kitchen which are all later additions). There is no way on earth I'm replacing them with plastic (besides the fact that it would cut the light levels) as I can't stand the plastic ones I've got. I just have thick curtains and blinds to help keep the draughts down!

    Hi all.

Sidney's arrived, and is getting settled in. Poor little chap now has arthritis on top of his diabetes, so not only does he have insulin, I've also got Metacam to give him if he needs it. This is going to be at my discretion, if he seems to be struggling. Luckily, given my own situation, I think I'll pick up pretty easily if he needs some.:o

Aww, sorry to hear that you'll need to have treatment, but good news that there's no malignant cells. Have a (((HUG))).

Some of today's stuff is already done; but I need to switch the PC on and make labels for the jam we made last night (am on the netbook at the moment, which isn't connected to the printer).

I will say straight away, Sidney's needs are going to come first for the next 10 days, so if I don't get the lists done, so be it. I gather he still enjoys his walks, so those will take quite a big chunk out of the day.;)

Anyway, I think I'll do my usual "post'n'delete" exercise; makes it easier to see what I still need to do.;)
