pigpen thats great news for Moomin - they should have been giving individual shoes - it must be so uncomfortable for her - hope it doesn't take too long.

They will be about 3 weeks as they have to be ordered in and then the raise put on the left one. She is gloating to Tiddles already about new shoes.. but by the time we get Moo hers they will be ordering Tiddles some but hers only take a week or so as they don't need the raise so tend to be not far off the same times which is annoying.

2 bags of empty boxes/tubes donated to school for craft and 2 carriers of outgrown clothes donated to nursery so I have done something productive today.. :D

Oh.. I need to banish OH to PO too.. so that will be another carrier and a half of stuff gone..

I must must must get some ebay pics done today.. :s..

That HHC didn't happen either i had to help Ds2 do his homework on the computer. I did tidy my desk but that was about it. I'm going to start again at 4.20 if anyone wants to join me?

goodintentions honey you need to be strong from day 1 or they will be no good - despite the fact that they are older teenagers you can still use the blackmailing - take away laptop/tv controls/ or whatever they love most until they have done their tasks - be very strong its for their good -give them tasks that they must do daily and weekly- and they can help you with pigpen's list and you will get it all done - there is nothing on these lists that a teenager can't do with some supervision IMHO. And no lying in bed until lunchtime either - if they do then you will have to make a habit of hoovering in their bedroom at 9am! they should be doing their own washing and ironing and their room should be spotless.

thanks Toots, I know you are right. DD1 is more than capable. She happily stays here on her own if we go away, and has been at Uni for the last 9 months. She must be the only student with a clean bathroom! :D At home is another matter. DD2 went through a clean phase (she used to watch 'How Clean is your House'!), but it wore off :( DD1 offered to do her own washing, but it is as easy to wash everything at once. She is going to do her own ironing though :j DD2 has attempted her own ironing - and I have the burn marks on my not-very-old bedroom carpet to show for it
I am going to get them to help me with any children i have here, as unpaid work, in the hope that they will go & get themselves summer work :D

Since my last post i have had lunch, done another load in WM & hung out, had a little lie down :o, picked up poo in the garden, put out some recycling, emptied the food bin & sorted out a 'froggy' cupboard in the kitchen (no. 6 on my frog list :j).

I need to chase the 2nd roof guy I called yesterday (don't these people want work?!)

I had a card through the door from a roofer, but I am always a little wary incase they are cowboys. They have an address on the card and a landline number aswell as a mobile.
