    Morning

I did today's list yesterday (except I don't have a frog list) and also yesterday when the cats got up I vacuumed right through upstairs and the landing too.

I've got a load of washing on the airer in front of the bedroom window today. It's sunny at the moment but we had an hour or two of rain before. I don't feel up to hokey-cokeying today.

The back bedroom is as tidy as I can make it now with the amount of stuff DH has in there, but it's all stacked and tidy and clean. There's no more I can do at present.

Well, yesterday didn't go to plan :( Spent over 3 hours in town with DD while she was faffing about in the phone shop  I left her to it in the end, and she had to get the bus home :D Wish I had done it an hour or so earlier though. It didn't seem to get better than that, and the kids were hyper after school.

I have arranged to collect the sofa bed bought off ebay on Friday evening (hopefully it won't rain, as I think it needs to go on the roof rack), and the old loft bed frame should be collected by my friend on Thursday (fling!). i tried to get DD1 to help me bring the shelf unit downstairs, so I could leave it outside (in the hope someone would take it) but she was next to useless, so it is now parked on the landing

DD1 is home on Thursday (gone back today to pack) for 3 months, and DD2 finishes her GCSEs next week. I am not looking forward to them being under my feet for the summer :( i will need to delegate the lists, but they are lazy so-and-sos.

This morning I have loaded DW, 1 load of washing done & on the line, kids taken to school, dog walked, rabbit fed & DD1 dispatched to her Nan's for transporting to Ipswich. I now need to get my @r$e in gear, but have lost momentum :( Lunch first, methinks :)

    Morning ladies,

Still feel under the weather, but hey ho.
My boss is being a complete @rse, and I really need to go into work tomorrow. If I do stay off I will need a note from the doctor and I don't know how these new fangled ones work? I'm also only in work next week, then off on leave, so i don't really feel as if I have an option. I think best to call it a frog and just go in.

I have done the cat litter and WM, but raining here. Need to wander round putting stuff away. Then if I can keep it tidy, I can have a clean at the weekend.
    Catch you later
    x
I went back because I CBA to get a sick note (I thought I'd be back at work before I managed to get an appointment) but it turns out it would have been easy. Call your surgery and ask to talk to GP about whether you should be going back. Apparently they can back date them too :) and post them if you can't get about. I'm OK as I work from home and manage my own time within reason. You need to put your health first and if necessary involve your HR to remind your boss of his responsibilities to his staff...

Moomin has new shoes on order, new insoles and better still.. the are giving her shoes which match the sizes of her individual feet rather than a pair the same size so one is massively too big :D She has never had a shoes that fits her left foot before!!!!

  • Kitchen lovely and clean.

Front room - with NEW sofa for the first time ever :D - clean.
New-for-the-first-time-ever-sofa has cats splodged out and snoring on it. So I'm sitting in the faded old, tatty armchair doing this :rotfl:

I have also drilled some more holes in the flower troughs out the front as they were full of rain, murdered some blackfly on the Nasturtiums with soapy water and deadheaded some cornflowers and love-in-a-mist. Going to sow some white versions in a minute - once my tea is finished, anyway.

    WM x 1
TD x 1 and put away (well, it is threatening to rain again today, for the third day)
    DW done

Frogs terminated without mercy. (Still haven't had water bill from moving in, so got in touch with them again chasing it - I may regret this when it drops through the letterbox - and got some pictures put up on the walls downstairs, one of trees in a forest and one of cherry blossom)

Oooh, just sitting here and caught the sound of bells - I can usually hear the town hall, almshouses and the nearest church, but I don't recognise these ones - I wonder where they are drifting over from?

"OMG It's the lady from what we call the Gingerbread House next to the bridge" It's a beautiful little cottage next to the bridge, backs onto the river and the garden is absolutely full of flowers! It would be so cool if it was you, my toddler thinks your house is 'magic' as it's just like one in her favourite book!

I wish it were me, but I'm afraid not, as whilst it's a little house exactly as described, it's not a cottage. I do get the little ones talking about it as they walk by on their way to school, though (which really makes me smile, as this time last year, I was living in a grotty top floor council flat - with flowers on the balcony :))

Mind you, with the three cats watching them as they walk past, the crows and magpies sitting on my wall, a bee home in the roses, lots of herbs that are used in our cooking and the spiders allowed to flourish under the hayricks, they probably suspect that I'm a witch in disguise anyway :D
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

it was nice but now its raining

goodintentions honey you need to be strong from day 1 or they will be no good - despite the fact that they are older teenagers you can still use the blackmailing - take away laptop/tv controls/ or whatever they love most until they have done their tasks - be very strong its for their good -give them tasks that they must do daily and weekly- and they can help you with pigpen's list and you will get it all done - there is nothing on these lists that a teenager can't do with some supervision IMHO. And no lying in bed until lunchtime either - if they do then you will have to make a habit of hoovering in their bedroom at 9am! they should be doing their own washing and ironing and their room should be spotless.

tooch :T:T:T:T:T:T that looks fabulous - what a difference and it will be so easy to keep it tidy now - well done to you for getting it sorted:D:D
maxonian honey it sounds like you are being pressurised into going back to work and that is not on - you must only go back when you are fully fit and able - follow greenbee's advice.

jetbag we dont all manage everything despite what you read. sometimes a little of everything is all thats needed. well done for going back to your studies - if it was me I would work out what has to be done and the deadlines and then how much you have to do each day allowing an extra day or 2 in case of life getting in the way!!! then try and fit work and housework around it you may have to just do HHcs to whizz round and give you a break but it will all be worth it in the end:D
pigpen thats great news for Moomin - they should have been giving individual shoes - it must be so uncomfortable for her - hope it doesn't take too long.

done 2 X WM which are almost dry - just finishing off on the airer
had a lovely chat with my friend - mwah and thank you for being you xx
OT has been and delivered the step I asked for yesterday - I am very impressed with his promptness

    dailies are done
    meds ordered
    couple of tadpoles eaten

    coffee next I think
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
Live each day as if its your last

    Afternoon all,

My HHC yesterday afternoon didn't happen. Ds2 wanted me to play pop up pirates with him and then it was time to cook tea. I've posted 9 ebay parcels today and had 2 people collecting stuff and taken a carrier bag of stuff that didn't sell or get taken on freecycle to the charity shop. I listed another box full of stuff last night. I can now see clear spaces where crap once was. :j
