Sorry but in my book doing the dirty on someone in return doesnt make it right, it just makes me as bad as them!

Its a disgrace what they've done and that's what feedback is there for.

Im at a loss to see where the dirty is?
the buyer will have to collect their item
they will be £1.12 down on what they should have paid
my way gets them back to £0,no better off than they should be from the original transaction

Oh, so you know the buyer hasnt collected or isnt going to collect the item that they really want for £1.12? My understanding of the post was a request for advice on feedback as they had tried to be reimbursed the p.o. charges.

Soapyjoe and custardy, I think one of you thinks the item is still at the delivery office and the other thinks it is already collected.

I am with custardy and think it has yet to be collected/delivered. So the op will be at £0 and no 'dirty' will have happened.

as far as the seller is concerned it is at the DO given they washed their hands of it
if the buyer has it then they are now @ -£1.12
so thats alright by you? the buyer is £1.12 down but alls fair in love and war?

BTW its a Royal Mail charge, not Post Office
the network will be privitised before folks get the difference

I'm under the impression that the op really wants the item and is going to pay the charge, so is asking advice regarding feedback and for the service they have been given about a refund of this charge.

Try re-reading the op's first post and see if you agree with me.

Ok so I have an odd one...

I bought an item - I received a request for £1.12 from the post office and I have to walk 2 miles to collect it (or it can be delivered but I really need the item).

So I emailed the seller, letting them know it was under. Their response was "we used stamps to the value which you paid, therefore do not consider this our problem".

Would you leave a neg or a neutral? They're quite new (less than 10 feedback) so it affect their account. Also, is there anyway of getting the £1.12 back (out of principle as the item was only £1 plus £1 p&p so £1.12 is more than 50% extra)

hows that for reading in the first instance?
