Apparently 'I didn't pay enough postage'

Thought there was a £1 charge for insufficient postage. So in reality the seller only underpaid postage by 12p. So as the buyer really wants the item it is costing them an extra £1 for the shortfall rather than the actual 12p missing postage.

This £1 extra is clearly the fault of the seller.
It doesn't matter how much they undercharged. They undercharged and because of this the buyer is out of pocket. Mistakes happen the seller is rufusing to correct so shouls be negged to show that they are a dodgy seller
I would Neutral and put 'Customer Relations training needed'.

but I would still leave honest DSRs. 1 for Postage and Packaging.
What's a seller got to do to get a Neg off you? Kill your firstborn child?

There's only one aspect of this purchase that's gone awry at the moment, and that's the postage. If the item is good, and the OP is happy with everything else, they could reasonably leave a neutral or a positive.
Clearly this item isn't available for less than the total of £3.12 the OP is gonig to end up paying, so it's a bargain of some sort. Whatever it is, it's not worth the aggro.

Don't think they know yet, they haven't done the two mile trip to collect it.
I doubt they'll be happy with that aspect either.
I wouldn't really rate the comms too highly either.
Probably not the happiest buyer on ebay, so I doubt 5 stars will be forthcoming, and I don't think a positive would be my first thought.

You are mixing up ratings with feedback. The buyer is collecting as they need the item quickly. Otherwise RM would redeliver. Buying anything by post is risky if that's the case.
I don't know which aspect you doubt, but if it's the item being good - you have no idea.
The person who suggested a neutral and marked down stars was being ridiculed. I don't think it would be outrageous to do that if everything else is ok.

I would not leave a positive for such an appalling response from a seller to a question about underpaid postage. If seller had apologised and refunded the £1.12 then yes a positive and 5* would be in order, but this deserves a nuetral at least as I think other potential buyers need to be warned that the seller is not very good at accepting his errors.

I don't understand your post, but I'll quote me from earlier.
And I think a negative is called for too.

Just this time I'd probably leave 1 star across the board as well, and if they complain, I'd tell that that was their problem.

Neg and low stars due to the sellers attitude
if the seller had paid the difference and had been helpful + and 5*
