Look, if you are genuine then I suggest you re-read all your posts and look at how much you contradict yourself. You have repeatedly said polar opposite things so it appears you are lying: how could both be true in a logical world?
However, I do understand that some people live off their emotions and say things that depend entirely on the way they are feeling at that particular moment in time (2 important people in my life do exactly this). As emotions change, so do the things that are said. To an outsider you might look like a 'walking contradiction' (my OHs description of one of the people we know).
I believe that people like this are not actually lying (in that they do not intend to deceive) but are merely stating how they see things at that moment through their emotion-tinted goggles. Sympathy/understanding aside, however, dealing with people who lurch from one emotion to the next can be very stressful, frustrating and anxiety-inducing, as they are unable to be consistent - something of vital importance to a growing child. If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right - Henry Ford0 -
Have read the abortion thread, the language was disgusting. So many ways to get your point across without having a potty mouth.
Reading this thread, it is clear the op is unhappy with her life and her partners "doings", but sounds as though she is petrified of being on her own and therefore will put up with most things to stop that happening. The partner is well aware of this and is clearly walking all over her, she wont walk away, she never will unless somebody else comes along and proves the daily life situation is not "normal" and filled with happiness. I dont care what anybody says, but your son will be picking up on the bad feelings when your OH goes off on a bender, and leaves you behind fuming. Its not fair on you or him if the household is unhappy.
I do think some of the posts on here have been uncalled for, but i also understand the frustration of talking to a wall, which is clearly what everybody offering advice is doing. Whilst the OP is so muddled in pretending life is perfect, apart from sometimes going off on benders, drinking too much, messaging others, missing for hours, spending the rent etc, then they will carry on to accept their partners antics. OP, see sense and be happy, be that just you and son, or with a serious firm talk with the OH, and change whats causing the problems. Take care, when not stuck in a routine that you believe is "normal" then life can be oh so good.If it ain't reduced, i don't buy it! :j0 -
