Hi can anyone help me please!

i am looking for a central hotel in Amsterdam in september 13th-16th.

a 4-5 star would be great if i could get some money back!

If i find the same hotel cheaper than easyjet, do i sent easyjet an email with the details before i go?

Should i book the cheaper option?

Do i need to send easyjet the details of the cheaper hotel?

When will they refund the difference?

All help is really appreciated :)

Blimey, I have just booked the Thistle Inverness myself after looking at it for a few days!!!
I'm there (hopefully) from April 2nd to 7th.
I had such a nice time in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago, I thought I would go to Scotland again!

I have just had the 'sent to head office' email within 2 hours of claiming!!!

I booked 'room only' and the comparison was with all-hotels.com.

Might see some of you up there!

    Caz x

Would be grateful if you can let us know if https://www.all-hotels.com was accepted - they are stating 'bookings at this hotel cannot be cancelled, changed or refunded' - does this make a difference as to whether the services offered are same as EJH?

    Regards
    B.

    No No No.
You need to read the thread-all of it
You book with EJH, pay the HIGHER PRICE. Claim back off them, quoting the lower price. You get refund double the diff AFTER you return from your stay.
So you need to fund the more expensive option with EJH first.
To do this properly, you need to be CERTAIN you have a valid claim.
If you READ ALL THE THREAD and then ALL THE T&Cs relating to HOTELOPIA SAFE 6 double the difference guarantee, then you are unlikely to slip up.

Its like an instruction manual - start at the beginning, read it through a couple of times and ALL BECOMES CLEAR (and obvious)

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me if Hotels Central are a company that fit the conditions for the offer? It doesn't appear in budgetflyers list... I would like to try for the offer but don't want to fall at the first hurdle so any advice gratefully received :)

If it helps any, the hotels central offer is B&B whereas the Hotelopia offer is not including breakfast - does this mean it is not a valid comparison?

    Thanks in advance!

No they are not. They are a US company and your CC is charged in US dollars . £s quoted are a comparison for your convienience.

I always find the "about us" page quite revealling and also "how do we pay" or similar, normally in the FAQ or somewhere

Because they offer a better deal board at a lower price, makes it just as INVALID.

    THE SAME means THE SAME

    Hi Birdy (and all),

Sorry for delay, yes I had an email yesterday from EJH saying that my claim (Thistle Inverness 2-7 April) has been accepted (comparison was with All-Hotels.com). So that's another one to add to the list!! :T

I'm going to Inverness on my own just to get some time away, so if anyone is up there at the same time.....

Ok for UK but you may have problems with hotels abroad due to currency. They are a booking service, so amount charged will be in local currency.
    from the faq
    When do I pay?
For some hotels you pay when you book (the cost of your stay is deducted from your credit card shortly after you confirm your booking). For others, you pay at the hotel on departure, but your credit card details are still required at time of booking to guarantee your reservation. Look out for information under the heading Payment Method as you go through the booking process. If it says "Guarantee Only" that means you pay at the hotel. The payment information is also contained under the Note to hoteliers heading in the Additional Information concerning your booking section of your booking voucher email
For bookings paid for at booking time you will recieve an additional confirmation number from the hotel as well as the All-Hotels reference number (7 digits, starts with 2). You will need the hotel's confirmation number when you arrive at the hotel, but the All-Hotels number to review your booking on our web site (see below).
Does your web site charge a booking fee?
Yes, but a small one and only for bookings where the customer pays the hotel on departure (rather than All-Hotels at time of booking). The exact fee depends on the currency you pay in but will either be £2.95, €4.25; or $4.95. It's taken sometime in the 24 hours after you make your booking and is non-refundable.
