ok, possibly the difficult bit is that we're hoping to go somewhere between 6th april and 15th april. the easy bit is that it can pretty much be anywhere! amsterdam i've tried but nothing doing. barcelona? copenhagen i'm in the middle of now. riga? vilnius? madrid? don't mind really!

any help gratefully received and i'll post what i've checked as i go along!

For how long? You can do up to seven days on the double difference thingy?

seven days then! pref going out on the 6th - but is it better to get to the hotel on a weekday? all tips gratefully received - maybe that's where i've been going wrong!

Copenhagen is very expensive usually - very nice but very expensive.

Difference of £436, doubled to £872, makes it £122 for seven nights = £17.50 a night!

Edit: Not sure that this hotel is particularly central, but worth doing some extra research on?

well, i like cold and my wife likes hot! :rolleyes:

we both quite fancy riga (prob six nights on there) and that would be a good excuse to get the train across to st petersburg. rijeka might be nice or where else is spain would be good? somewhere with a bit of cultya and possibly warmth.

i'll just take a look at that other one after i've fed dw! she's not happy - but she doesn't know about where we're going yet!

Really frustrated-thought I'd found one for Istanbul, at the Taksim Gonen hotel, it was on EJH for £299 and laterooms at £148 a couple of hours ago. But now laterooms appear to have hiked their prices to £325 and I can't find any other hotels that qualify. Can anyone clarify for me which websites are eligable as comparisons, as I don't think Laterooms, Bookings and Venere are?

liz545 - You are correct, Laterooms, Bookings and Venere are not covered.

jmarko - Nothing springs out in Paris. Just having a look at the Algarve, then I'll look in Riga. I'm enjoying this!
