Just a quick question – I understand that under the T&Cs:
"easyJetHotels will not reimburse clients if the compared accomodation is not situated in a easyJet Airline destination,"
Would Brussels be covered? You can’t search for Brussels hotels in the drop down menu on the front page of Easy jet hotels, but I assume that this is due to the fact that Easyjet doesn’t fly to Brussels from the UK.
However Easyjet do fly between Brussels and Geneva (and vice-versa) – therefore do you think a claim to be made?
thanks0 -

Paris
Starhotels Castille 4* Double/Twin Superior B&B 2nd August - 4 nights
Easyjethotels £918

Make sure it is the Superior Room.
Not a freebie but a very classy hotel in the centre of Paris for £114 (£28.50 a night)

offbeatgirl wrote:I made a successful claim using lastminute but heard from someone else who had problems. Lastminute charge a fee on credit cards, but not on debit cards, so I wonder if you book through easyjethotels with a debit card and then send a couple of screenshots of the lastminute room type and also the pricing when paying with a debit card you'd have more success?
Hey Offbeatgirl, thanks for the PM. I'm the one who was having problems with a price match against lastminute, just to say though, that this morning I received an apology and a confirmation of my refund!!!!! :j
They say, they have some new staff in head office, and they are still unsure and wary of what to authorise as a price guarantee.0 -
On another note, and whilst easyjethotels are still giving us all free (or nearly free) hotels, it surely would be worthwhile investing in a credit card that offers a decent cashback reward.
Seeing as there are some of us who are paying out anything from £500 to £1000+ for hotels, and then having them refunded, the cash back rewards would be a nice little added extra.0 -
Just had a nice reply to my claim, i put one in for 3 nights for 4 adults staying in amsterdam.
They said that travelrepublic didn't have enough rooms and price matched against last rooms who i also put in my contact to them.
i disagreed this and have been e-mailing them for 7 days which a sceen shot showing that travelrepublic did have 2 rooms available.
And today BINGO just found this in my e-mail.
I would like to inform you that your double price guarantee claim has been
accepted and you will be refunded double the difference 1382 GBP after the
completion of your stay at the hotel.
£1382 is the full ammount we paid.0 -

bear in mind that most, if not all, cash back cards won’t give you cash back on any amount that is refunded.
Refunds have to be paid back to the card you used to pay.
If you pay £1000 and eventually get £800 refunded, you only get the cash back on £200.0 -
Ahhh, that sucks. I didnt realise they would check for refunds before giving you cashback
, oh well. We'll just have to be content with our free hotel rooms then
How about cards giving you nectar points, mbna points, etc? Do they work the same?0 -
Still no e-mail from EasyJet confirming exactly how much they are going to refund.
The original amount I paid them was £551. The difference between EasyJet and other company was £314.60, so double that is £629.20.
Does that mean I will get back more than I paid (extra £78.20), or will it be the £551 they refund?MFW #185
