Hey chaps - Morning :) It will change as atm I don't pay any :) and we're a band C I think which is about £1000 a year (ish), but I'll get the single persons allowance from that.

    What a day here

Gorgeous!!! And, I'm working from home :)

OK cuppa in hand first load out on the line, dishwasher chugging away (I know these should be on at night, but I'll start to get into that now) washing machine on again for a chum who's not got hers working at the mo

Hens fed - ones gone walk about, one was very sick though (nothing really wrong with her, but she's not been right for a couple months now, no real cause, might be old age - sh'es one i inherited so I don't know how old she is) hope she's OK, only time will tell. Fingers crossed

    Bank to check
    CC to check
    List to make for shopping
Ebay stuff to start listing (thank you for the boot chev)
House to sort out for visitors coming on sunday for a week and the rest of them of course!
    Bedding to wash
Gardening to do - need a bit of work out there and today is lovely so that works
Website work to do for the gal doing the website
Blog to write on 'island living' - someones asked for the ins and outs of living on an island, thought that might be a bit boring, but maybe its a bit different to other folks lives?

Chev and others who commented - using £100 for polytunnel rather than penguinface - hadn't thought of that - dunno why I hadn't thought of that - but there you are - what a blinking good idea!

Keiss - I'll do you a list (only a peedie one) thank you. Need to look back to comment on other folks comments - memory like a seive - UNI - think I spied some post in the byre - wondered why I hadn't seen any and a peedie parcel from you - YAY - going to look now :) thank you KK I know what you mean, aren't many folk normally their mum babby?

Talked to the short/tall folk last night - all going well in France - might talk again today, try to let them have space with thier family, but they also know that I'm here iyswim.

    OK banks first....................................

£65 dd went to capital one- which came off yesterday - Aside that not much bank movement both with less than £40 in them - but we're not over the limit - therefore thats a good result.

CC's the same as before. Needed petrol yesterday but OH got that - put in 20 litres (£1.47.9) must have gone down a bit since I was away. Well a peedie bit.

Worked out I can get 160-200 miles from 20 litres - so I'm trying to budget petrol miles too and drive ecomonomically to maximise it - today I've no need to go into the main town (I might go into the little town to the PO) so I'll save the into town £5 petrol, spending maybe £1.50 instead if I go out today at all. This is an area I need to work on, I'm use to going into the office - I need to go in tomorrow - therefore I'm staying home today to work. Trying to get into a new routine and lower my expenses too. :)

Done a new budget and allowed £200 a month for petrol, but hoping I can make inroads into that - any spare money from that pot will go into CC

    :)

Ps cheery (waves hello) the yorkshire crisps were amazing - just finished them last night yum yum. Kept the tub - its so cute :)

Driving that distance is a case of "need" at the mo, isn't it ... even I think about "do I need to spend that transport money", all the time - if I spend £3 to go the Wilkinsons in the next town (thats the railfare) then even aside from the time - which is about 35 mins each way) it had better have savings a *lot* more than £3 to make it worthwhile!

  • Morning Lu - how you today? Jambon did indeed get a chicken meal when back in Kdy!

KC - how very true. When I can set up my printer and get the postage printed and paid and stuck to my mailing at home, the post man says he'll pick it up (I asked him!) that will save the post office trips too :) yay! Trips are costly in time and money you are right!

I had a question of greeniness for you - OK whats greener than sellotape? I'd thought about parcel brown sticky tape (the kind you wet) but dunno how ethical that is or what the gum is made of. What's the green solution any idea - I'm going to see if I can solve that one today - having parcelled up a couple parcels properly yesterday - using alot of tape - wondered what the alternative is?

:) 2nd load out - said hello to the rabbits, swallows, house martins, greenfinches and the sparrows in the garden, and thanked them (the rabbits I suspect) for eating my cabbages, asked them nicely to stop - I'll net off my veggie bed today. I like seeing them in the garden, but I'd also like cabbages.

Interesting! I just found this stuff:
    http://www.greenstat.co.uk/StoreFront/Biodegradable-Sellotape-Single-Large-Roll-P-724692
made from "biodegradable cellulose" - i.e. newspaper, I think. I wonder what ordinary sellotape is made of? Its another quest!

Yay Uni you're a star thank you, perfect! And, most excellent recycling of a bag :)

Breakfasted here - washing out - one freezer emptied and tidied into the other - food out for cooking for guests - then I need to do a bit of work on website stuff and hens and get to PO before closes - thats the priority I think :)
