It doesn't have to be very small...we have an estate, with only three people a no dog, so plenty of room!!! Think of stripey shopping as part of stripey holiday payment :)

Been picking currants in the garden this morning...only done one red- and
one blackcurrant bush so far....loads of fruit!!! Was just going to freeze them as have lots of other things to do atm, not sure if I have the space in the freezer though :rotfl:.

Might keep some out and make a summer pudding (or two) ...yummmm!! :rotfl:

Need to get back out there...DS needs to be shown which pots I want moving...a big sort out this weekend in the garden. :j

Have a great day all xxx.

Flying visit Pippi BUT had to say re Council Tax, did you apply for Council Tax and Housing Benefit? If you are getting the single person supplement then I am absolutely sure that you should be entitled to CT and Housing Benefits. That might reduce your rent and council tax a fair bit. Get it done woman!!!

Yay Uni you're a star thank you, perfect! And, most excellent recycling of a bag :)

:D My Mum thought I was nuts with the wrapping until i explained. For everyone else, I'd been on holidays with Mum in Blackpool. We'd been to primark (the ones up here aren't up to much), so I reused the strong brown paper bag (cut up) that my purchase came in as wrapping for Pippi's book and postcard.

You can also get paper tape - this sort of thing - http://www.tapes-direct.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=148_192&products_id=900 - but not sure how good (i.e. strong) it is. You can recycle it with paper.. but dunno if it's made of recycled paper in the first place. Interesting one!

This also seems pretty good -http://www.euroffice.co.uk/i/z5d2/Scotch-Magic-Tape-900-Natural-Fibre-Film-19mmx33m-Ref-90019339-Pack-9

Home and lunched - bagel with brushetta type stuff elderflower cordial - yum speaking of elderflower cordial - anyone a good recipe - the flowers are just out up here and I'd love to give it a go as a means of reducing spends too, I love elderflower cordial but its expensive! Any one a good recipe?

Red - thank you alot of good solutions there - thank you - a few very perfect solutions all round really! TA :)

Cheri - Um, housing benefit, um, how about I promise I'll get my finger out today and phone them for the forms? I've a school meals form to fill in too - it also came on holday with me, with all my post and a load of books/magazines and didnt' do any of it lol

starnac - she's a hoot isn't she - and in RL too :) - a couple books now posted (finally) and winging your way, only a couple but one of them is just gorgeous and my dd's favourite - I hope its not a bit too fiddly for her - if it is keep it until its perfect!

Keiss - I'm on the case today - I'll see what to ask for - no need for payment but also happy for stripy shopping to arrive :) Its mainly dried stuff (Pasta, rice, etc and a few tinned things like beans/corn/kidney beans chick peas etc)- my original stash still has a fair few tins of stuff (mainly fruit) I clearly don't use as much as I thought I would - funny eh?

Uni it was excellent recycling :)

RIght web stuff then a play, um I mean focussed effort on growing food in the garden. :)

I make cordial something like this - http://www.jammychicken.com/2011/07/elderflower-cordial.html - if you don't have citric acid then add a few more lemons, but mine was a lot better with the citric acid.

Got elderflower & ginger 'champagne' brewing at the moment too (must remember to put that in the fridge tonight before it explodes :rotfl:)

Yes Pippi, the deal is that you get onto it this afternoon. It could make a bloomin big difference.

A statement from sellotape: ordinary sellotape is made from wood pulp too, completely biodegradable. I think I'll email them to ask about the glue..... :)

I don't have time to work! I like this stuff too much!

    EDIT - done it :)
