hi Pippi, sorry to hear that penguin chops has reared his ugly head, i think you're doing the right thing, he can't start demading money because he was an idiot and didn't insure things properly. Maybe if he couldn't pay the mortgage but that's not the case with him he just wants to gad about a bit more!

hope you come up with some cunning plans to get more income, i'm sure you'll achieve it, you managed it before when you had to set yourself targets to move into your current home, maybe if you read back through your old thread you'll get some inspiration.

Stripes, just thought I'd lob my two pennorth in. Your chaps are away for the 6 weeks, is there any way of being a B&B for that time? You could charge a lot more, would be company (not that I'm saying you need any) and they could help with emptying the freezer, could you also give them guided walks, flower talks etc?

i was just wondering what a salt pig was. :o

sorry to hear about penguin chops Pippi. if anyone can sort it it's you. although don't kill yourself paying him off. As everyone else has quite rightly said he can't suddenly start demanding you pay it all off now just cos he was a......um....(thinking of poilte word)............silly billy

Maybe the 6 weeks you lose your kiddies could be exactly what you need. while they are away like you said you can eat out of the freezer, have little amounts of electric going and have some time to ebay, amazon, declutter etc when you would normally be playing mummy. with the added bonus of no guilt for being bad mummy and not paying enough attention to kiddies.

I would still talk to OH. let him have his rant if that what he needs and then maybe he can help you think of ideas or just support you in whatever you decide to do.
