Um welsh cakes - bit like that

Mr Flowers ma is welsh - and made them yesterday - she made me one specially without dried fruit as I'm allergic

they were yummy - I do like fruit and yoghurt though and glad you enjoyed it LT

    :A

Mr F out twangling at a jam session tonight - I've been in the garden after pizza - moved another 5 wheelbarrows of soil from old veggie garden to new one. Getting there (slowly)

:) no paid work today - caught up at office - lots of leaving folk cake/tea sessions and did a bit in polytunnel at work for new project.

    I hope you're all good!

Did I remember correctly that you have enough garden space to allow occasional camping? Is this a possible source of income? £100 is more than reasonable by far so if you can work out a plan to pay it back like that (or even £50 IMO) then I think that is fair enough and certainly seems a bit less scary to me. Good luck :)

I can do quiet camping but not 'proper' - same for B&B - my landlord is around alot and its a small place - we are not supposed to do 'proper' stuff like that but I can for folk I know if I am a bit shhy:o great idea thought and I do need to tidy up a bit :o

hi Pippi, sorry to hear that penguin chops has reared his ugly head, i think you're doing the right thing, he can't start demading money because he was an idiot and didn't insure things properly. Maybe if he couldn't pay the mortgage but that's not the case with him he just wants to gad about a bit more!

hope you come up with some cunning plans to get more income, i'm sure you'll achieve it, you managed it before when you had to set yourself targets to move into your current home, maybe if you read back through your old thread you'll get some inspiration.

 deleted old thread - but you're right I did have to make an extra £370 a month then didn't I? Quite scary when you think of it:T thank you for reminding me!

Thank you for that - I've dipped into your blog a few times but always feel like a bit of a stalker - nice that you've posted a link - now I don't feel so stalkerish :rotfl:clever little coriander and good recycling!!!

Typical flippin man, he c*cks up and now wants you to pay him money to get out the !!!!!! But it looks like you have half a plan to get him paid off. Just hope that you can work it out so that Cap1 still gets some each month too. Sorry for dissing all penguins :o

KK Good to see you over here. Another one that gets fed up with texts being misinterpreted, find talking much better ;)

Yah Maty - I need to get my tunnel up and live - that will take money - I can't give him those bits - he's gadding about with his new lady having a long long long holiday - OK I owe the money - but like you've all said - stupid having (*extraordinaryily expensive- and I mean CRAZY £XXXX expensive digital camera gear, laptop, hard drives, passport/driving license and so forth) left in a car overnight which got robbed whilst he was off partying just home, its a shame but futily stupid.

Stripes, just thought I'd lob my two pennorth in. Your chaps are away for the 6 weeks, is there any way of being a B&B for that time? You could charge a lot more, would be company (not that I'm saying you need any) and they could help with emptying the freezer, could you also give them guided walks, flower talks etc?
    L

Hey L - thank you (and thank you for the card and cheque :A) I can't do official B&B here but there are a few folk coming to stay and pitch in :D I'm not really looking to make any money from the house this year but next summer if tunnel is up I'm going to plan to do workshops etc via internet I think but not hugely public when kiddies are away at daddies)

BUT this year I'm going to make the most like you say of freezer eating, less petrol using and ebaying working on website etc etc kids being away will free up alot of petrol money, electric and food mainly.

We spend £200 a month on food - so that might save £300 alone (6 wks),
No fencing (save £12 cost and 8x £5 trips into town) £52
Etc - thank you L - great Ideas there!!!! And it will add up

And when they are away I can ebay all there stuff!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Glad you are investigating ways of raising more money Pippi...but don't get rid of all your stuff!!! After all, your ex needs the money now as he hadn't been properly insured...so that's his fault, not yours.

I presume he knows you are not earning all that much, so how can he expect you to find all that cash out of nothing?? You have to feed and clothe your kids as well as yourself, and you do such a wonderful job of eaking out every penny.

Sorry, I am a bit cross now, he's put you in this position because of his ineptitude...Prat (and other names I won't mention here!).

Hya KK...I agree with Cheery, talk face to face, or at least on the phone...and soon. It's easy to get things all warped and mixed up in your head...talk it out. I'm sure all will be fine...you've been stressed out by your ex (I see this is catching atm!) and it's messing with your mind.

Back home for a little while before heading back to college to do more invigilating from 6:15 to 8:30 or so this evening. Got the documentation from college for my redundancy (Compromise Agreement) today. Must have a look through it and make an appointment with my solicitor to get it checked....all a bit grown up and legal-like for me! :o

The heavens have just opened here...yet more rain! Thankfully got the washing in earlier...all nice and dry and on the airer now :).

Have a great day all xx.

Hey keiss cheers - he's between contracts - guess that focusses the mind, that and the thefts.

I hope your appointment with solicitor goes well - xx We've had great weather - your thistles are growing nicely for your arrival :rotfl:

    hope ds a bit better?

Invigilating at night - we don't do any of that!

Goodluck with the redundancy stuff hope its all as beneficial for you as it should be :A

How unbeleiveably stupid of him to leave valuables like that in a car overnight. Some people are born to have their money taken from them! I am sure the insurance company laughed when he tried to claim.....silly person

good luck with sorting him out. remember only pay WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD. Tough on him if he wants it quicker

Hey Uni will pop over and peek, and thank you for the diary :) you're an angel - good luck with the stitches

Chev I know, I do feel for him, the camera etc was for his 'when I'm back in the UK business' - and I think he lost most of his photos, but you're right - insane to leave everything in a car.

    Morning all

Last day of school here then they are off for 8 weeks!
Day working for a charity for a bit - trying to fit a bit of paid work inbetween
