thanks for the Welsh cakes (what are they?)
i've just enjoyed a yummy fruit salad with natural yoghurt, never thought i'd say i really enjoyed that but i did.

They are addictive thats what they are :) Ooo Pippi, Ma IL can make welsh cakes, I have tried but never as nice as the little craft centre along the road.

Quotes - well I have a little note book and I get them for all over the place, when out and about if somebody says something that amuses me, if I read a card, if I see a sign stuff like that. I also love thinkexist.com and what I normally do is type in a mood or a feeling or a subject in google and add the word quote. I then pootle around for some inspiration.

Sounds like life is jolly there at the moment with jam sessions and baking.
Another idea for money making for the 6 weeks the kids are away. Bit off the wall and you might run screaming but............ is it possible to have house guests for workshops. So they would stay with you and you would run some gardening workshops with them. Could you use the area where you teach gardening to do this? You could teach them garden design, potting up, identifying plants, how to work out what kind of soil they have, lots of stuff really. You could combine it with botanical tours around the island looking at the flora and fauna. You could teach them willow weaving and things like that. They would then pay you board and lodge and an amount for the workshops. You have a fair few followers on the blog so maybe you could promote something on there.

    Hello all
I go missing for a few days and it all happens. The penguin chops thing would be annoying if you had only yourself to think about but he knows your situation and that you have children to care for, arghhhh!
One thing whilst I remember. My perrennial sweet peas are just starting to flower. Do you want some seed from them when we get to that stage ?.

    Morning all

Off for a cheery adventure to hoy today on a ferry :) Mr flowers and his ma like the idea very much, snacks packed camera on charge, wellies at the ready!

Gv nice to see you and yes please, can I swap you anything at all? Oh didn't you want a fushia?

Cheri good ideas there will mull more!

Vl your dad taught you well!

Lu - doing holibib plans will get in touch if we can do a pit stop via you on way down or up!

Holidays on wed - eeek ........need get planning!

No response from penguin face, guess he's huffing, tbh I'm doing my best so he can boose (huff) if he wants.

Used £6 off £40 shop yesterday to get a bit of the store cupboard topped up ( soap powder, coffee, sugar etc) - btw, mr t value washing powder has changed and smells like a posh brand one ATM - £1.69 for 3kg it's quite cheap and worth a try, IMHO. Maybe not very eco - but very good value!

But, their pasta deal is not good, although they have 1 kg twirls for 99p which isn't bad, but these are our prices and probably higher than yours - 1 kg British sugar also good price ATM. And 1kg tubs gold coffee for £5 - hope to make that last at least 6 months!

Hope you're all going to have a good day. X more coffee required and clothes, to cold to go hoy in jimmy jams today!

    :)

Oh Pippi you are letting the side down not going to Hoy in jimjams. I was hoping that we would see a photo of you in jimjams, wellies and rollers in the hair. Last weekend I was in my old home town and was shocked to see a woman shopping in the corner shop in nothing more than a towelling dressing gown with rollers in her hair and little towelling slippers. Oh how I (dont) miss living there.

Raining here, dark and miserable feels like it should be November not midsummer. Heading North this afternoon and I havent packed a thing. Then to Austria on Monday. Hope your holiday goes well.
Off to bake some more scones to take with me to impress my friend. Will also take a pot of my home made jam. That will really impress her methinks.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: erm.......... hope that you are joking

I was in Speke at the TK Maxx there and I even saw women in Mr Ms there in pyjamas. Thought that phase had passed. Although I had heard about the going out in rollers one. My Mum used to do that when we were little. Big rollers with a headscarf on (ala Hilda Ogden). I think they thought nobody could notice :) Mind you she always looked very glam when she took them out.
