Oh heck pippi - a little bit of warning would have been nice after all this time of saying 'pay it back when you want to'! Pah :(

Think cap on then hey?? xx

Exactly what Cheery said, Pippi - a bit of notice after years of "chill" would have been nice.

And I hope you *did* get out to the Ring of Brodgar! My path through the local little nature reserve has just reopened, so I had a little walk through there, and walked *past* the allotments, not by, iyswim, and came home on a really different route - its funny when you don't live by the sea, there's a lot more roads within reach!

Don't forget to tell us what time the sun goes down!

Penguins have a shifty look, haven't you noticed? :D

Seriously though, thinking caps on for Pippi.

    Here are my thoughts:-

    Ebay
    Vivatic
Part time job (there's openings with the company I work for part time, I know it might not be perfect but its working from home)
Selling jewellery (sold stuff from ex recently when OH wasn't working, prices vary but I went through quidco and got an extra £30 on top of what they paid for my jewellery)
    Selling plants, eggs, veg etc
Lodgers (can't remember if you still have lodgers)
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

the two easiest things would be to apply for housing benefit and pay him off with what you get, or else ask your current OH for a loan which you would also pay off....

We did and it was busy! Lots of folk milling about (ok well maybe about half a dozen or so!) and a few folk sitting with their backs to the stones watching a dull sky but with a tiny glint of sunset peeking through the clouds chilly though - 11 degrees - was well wrapped up in photos I look like a mitchelin man!

You know I want to really thank you for that - I'm wandering about with huge guilt for not paying it off and feeling a bit rubbish and he *DID* say that

I'm glad you got out and thank you too! Well we went for a walk - got home 11.30 ish and the sun was just down I think but it was still light enough to read outside even if it was a bit cloudy and dull.

Its very funny when you don't live by the sea isn't it - more less watery options for plodding :D an advantage unless of course you're blessed with webbed feet or divine abilities:rotfl:

Divine abilities! Of course, why wasn't I using those!

Hope today isn't too packed, and you have time to look at that sky still.

Great ideas there - ebay yup - I will have to get the clutter declutterred
Viviitac I'm registered for now thank you
P/t job grand idea - I'll PM you
Don't actually own an jewellery tbh
I'm hoping to sell more plants etc but that needs a tunnel and that needs £500:eek:
We are too remote for lodgers - although I could put us on the list again - our broadband etc is shocking

You know great minds think alike I did think about this:A that way I feel better about it all - my new OH is wonderful and I'm sure if I asked he'd do that for me, but he thinks (as many new OHs do about old OH's) that the chap had more than enough fincancial support from me for years (between jobs etc) and tbh he's probably owe me. However, a deal is a deal and I'll pay him but I can't ask new OH - he's enough on right now anyway! But, very logical and sensible idea. I'll deal with this with the power of Mse:T

Yup me too - he was here last week but I didn't want to see him (kids weren't fussed either) so we kept our head down til he left.

Maybe I need to email him again and say it will take time

On the plus (or maybe not so plus side) - kids are away en Daddies for 6 weeks this year - thats time where I can eat from the freezer, switch everything off extra and save a bit of normal expense money. I'll try goodly hard - but I also need funds to get my tunnel up and get going - so it will HAVE to be a balance.

He's a single bloke, in between jobs, with a pile of savings from being out there in the land of the penguins, gadding about having a bit of a long holiday atm, not that he's not entitled to his money - but he'll not die of starvation if its not delivered immediately.

With that in mind, I'm off for a cuppa and check the bank

    Morning KC

Bit of paid work today, bit of office, bit of garden for thinking me thinks - plenty sky looking I promise - dull here but potential to brighten up :)

Do you get single persons CTax discount Pippi? If you do, you've applied for it & got it because you're entitled to it - i.e. because there is only one adult in the house. It's exactly the same with HBenefit - but I think I know why you feel funny about it - there seems a big difference between paying less for something and being given money for something - but the final impact is the same - i.e. less money to find each month for your bills.

So, you need to decide - will you feel worse getting HBen, or worse not paying off penguinchops?

PS - I still like penguins. I can't diss a whole species because of one bad specimen :o
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
