that's what i was thinking cheery, if you have no real choice Keiss then i'd take it, my worry where i am is that those in the early stages will get offered better things than those on the later stages.

LT - we have no choice with this redundancy...all three IT Training Centres are being closed completely...making 43 of us redundant!!! Even if I wanted to stay in IT within the college...there's just too many folk going for too few jobs.

Perhaps it is just best to cut and run! :D

Keiss, pm me. The company I work for have loads of IT jobs and some near you. I'd be more than happy to refer you if you want.

Thanks all for the answer re milk. How strange that a little thing like this makes me feel like part of the gang and a tad excited. See the best things in life dont cost a lot of money.

Keiss, if it were me I would take the redundancy (applied myself last year but didnt get it :() but then I am, like Cheery, a sucker for change.

You have so many strings to your bow. If you have survived on one wage before and you are good at saving then you have a good base. As for there not being much money in garden design I bet you could do something like that via a website and earn some money. People could send you the measurements and samples and you design to their lifestyle. Last year on Simon Mayo there was a guy who designed borders for people. Basically they told him what colours they liked, what their lifestyle was like and the measurements of the garden. He then drew a plan (only for borders) printed of a map onto a to scale paper of the plan and provided the plants. All the person had to do was lay the plan onto the floor and put the seeds/plants into the relevant bit on the paper. Brilliant idea I thought. You could do something like that.

Cheri - If you had taken redundancy you would have missed the opportunity to hobnob with royalty so these thing happen for a reason :D

Keiss - From my (very limited) experience VR deals are normally better then CR deals so I would leap now while it is on the table. Sounds like you have many strings to your bow and could build up an income if you choose not to go back in to paid employment. It does seem a very short time to make up your mind though :( It took me a week and a half to decide and I think I spent the first week just reeling from the shock :o

Pippi - Hope you can get to the bedroom for the interview clothes! Wishing you lots of luck from tomorrow - make sure they know how lucky they are to have someone as fab as you

    Unix - I have pmed you...thanks :A

Pippi - may do that, though I'm only 15 minutes from Pershore College...we are up to our eyes in garden designers round here! Oh and some mud too...well, only a bit, been sooooo dry lately (other than Sunday), though it is raining at the mo! :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi Pippi I would think that you could do this. You have just organised yourself through a major writing project, I am sure you can organise you patchwork lifestyle just as well. Keiss I would take the redundancy too. And use it to leverage a new career from. good luck to all those having interviews at the moment. chev
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
