Pippi, knock their socks off today. My tip for confidence is to play your most favourite ever tune in the car on the way to the interview and sing at the top of voice (carrying on the theme) I always play Haircut 100 Favourite Shirt because it just makes me smile. Seems to work for me.

    Good luck.

    Cheri, Luceille, Greying Thank you!

Didn't get back yesterday sorry! You've all had a great natter :)

sfrd - how true those words are they grow up so quick - more money/work normally just means more expense and stress you're right - infact you're all right - I know in my heart the 'alternative' lifestyle we've chosen is for a reason - but it is so easy to forget isn't it? And, how can you be at one with the flowers if you neglect them. I talked to a pal last night and she reminded me the house in town and the extra money which paid off the debts was to allow me to do this very thing (selfemployed/part time work) - instead of obsessing about it all I need to enjoy the fact we're in a position to be able to kinda get by. :)

Talked to the children - cellist was yay - don't work full time - infact work here only if you can, gamerboy was more ambivalent - 'will you interfere more with my gaming' my response 'more than likely' - response from gamerchops 'oh well, you'd better find a full time job then!!!!' (he joked)

    Plan for today
    Check banks
Iron clothes - didn't manage that last night
Paint upstairs floor - varnish stairs before I get dressed and leave
    Working at recycling site today
gamerchops having 6 pals over (!)
    DD and I hiding
Call people on veggie course - need get sheet which is at work - bah means a trip into town
    make up the spare room
    Tidy up my room
    HM dinner
    Bit gardening

Viva (oral exam) set for the 28th June - I'd thought it was earlier than that and was planning holiday stuff from the 26th whoops - need a rethink!

    good luck with the interview

Keiss I have no experience in VR but I think I would take it too. Hope you make the right decision for you and your family.

Pippi I agree with all the comment made here the last couple of days. yes not having a FT job is scary yes you would have more money from a FT job BUT less time with kids, less spare time and money isn't everything otherwise none of us here would be able to survive with the little money we have. I love the fact that you mind mapped it all out and found what you wanted to do. Maybe I should have a go at doing that. How do I do it??? it might help me decide what I want from the future

Bit of good news here from work though. Had a meeting yesterday with HR and I've finally got a date to start my mat leave plus my NVQ assessor has agreed to work a bit harder with me to get it finished before I leave. I was a bit afraid it would be left hanging over me but at least if it's finished if I decide I don't want to go back there then I can use the NVQ to get a job elsewhere yay

Hope everyone has a good day

Evening all - didnt get job, a worthy very experienced candidate got it instead :)

Tbh as I was getting ready today, brushing hair etc - I was remembering what a palava it is to get all glammed up - I'm not a fan and certainly wouldn't want have to brush my hair everyday

Stanac congrats and excellent news about work :)

Off to have a cuppa in garden. 3 plants sold on eBay - not that I've much on there :) but nice to see the lady at po again :)

    Hope you're all great!

What she said! Shame it didn't work out, but as you say - having to brush your hair EVERY DAY? Bah humbug to that! :D
