Well done Pippi...PhD all done and dusted :j:T:j:T:j

Re hourly rate..I know it's a bit low, but it's the same as my best pay rate atm, so reasonably happy with it. It's also better than when I worked in IT Admin and as a tutor at the college (but not when I was a teacher...them were the days), so at least it is an improvement...honest!
    :o

Sorry to hear you have gales again...looks like winter is charging in at a rate of knotts!!! It was lovely here today, but chilly tonight. So I am here working in the conservatory, with a rug over my knees/lower legs and my fingerless gloves on while I type. The heating is NOT going on before Ocotber, and that's final! :rotfl:

Need to get to bed, a busy day tomorrow.

Hope the wind will abate for you tomorrow, and that your cold has gone...that would be nice wouldn't it!

    Night, night all x

Well done on the Thesis, that's great news.

But, steady on, old girl! posh fish fingers AND a full price loaf of bread:eek::eek:

Most people celebrating the end of studying make do with alcohol.

I do love the New Scientist. It's the only mag I've ever subscribed to but it is expensive. :(
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?
  • De-lurking to add my sincere congratulations on the thesis and huge ra,ra,ras. Good luck with the poly tunnel venture.

    Hoorah, well done Pipster :):):):):)

But, what madness, a FULL PRICE loaf of bread? Talk about letting success go to your head............... ;):)

Guess what - I just checked my bank account and either my ex is a complete numpty (well, now I mention it....) or he feels guilty about making me wait so long for the money this month, but he has just paid in next month's money!! Woo hoo, I can bask in the eeling of being 'rich' until whenever.....

And it might come in handy as I'm just about to book flights for me, DD and OH to go to Italy next year!!! :):)

I'm not going to contact him to let him know, given that he pays me beggar all in the grand scheme of things, here's hoping its the start of maintenance that actually takes into account the cost of shoes, uniform, hobbies, but if not, at least I'm earning pennies of interest on it rather than him :)

Congratulations, Pippi!!! (And Kittikins :) )

I'm glad you spoiled yourself a tiny wee bit - hope you slept properly, and the cold germs are under control.

:money:I did buy a smaller posh loaf -- 70p rather than £1.30 so whilst giddy, I was sensible but I can't remember the last time I bought a full price loaf, very decadent indeed! :money:

The food of the gods and folk with thesis's to fling via 40mph winds into the post - need to find out how to get it bound and how much.......evening meant eat and flop into bed after a ff sandwich :)

Children spotted the posh bread and asked what we were celebrating:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Tricciaxx - I know there was a small glass of red wine (well mulled wine its so cold here I thought that might be nice) after it before bed

Keiss - I wasn't nagging just saying that you need to be paid at least what you are so don't feel guilty - I'd never nag you for that you know pots and kettles and all that - :A

    Morning all

Hope you're good banks to juggle etc more lemsip to drink, wild out there - chickens hiding windy windy

Ergh - put MORE petrol in yesterday (and thats with me combining journeys - eek) - I'm almost at £200 already this month. I hear the tax rebate for the islands has gone through (-5p ltr) but at £1.50 ltr it won't help much...................
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:
