Morning Pippi, sun is shining here so I am hoping the same for you today. Love the fish, very cute
Keiss, I agree completely with Cheery. You need to work out an hourly rate for yourself and charge that. (you may miscalculate so add a small percentage on for leeway). They can charge that much for the alpaca coat because people will pay it. Remember you are here on MSE where we are all frugal and money wary. There are still lots of people out there who have money to spend or dont but spend it anyway. That is the way they choose to live and you are helping them to fulfil their needs/wants so dont judge what they will consider reasonable by your own approach to money.
Sorry for hijack PippiSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Keiss - what they said!
Pippi.. love the stripy cat toy. Have you/ could you grow some cat nip to stuff in them? I tried to grow some this year but slugs got the seedlings.. did acquire some from a local park though and had much fun watching cat drool all over the floor (she ignores toys but loves the 'raw' plant - the hard stuff! :rotfl:)Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Thank you so much everyone, loved the <stern face> Cheery, I could see my mum doing that to me...oh how I miss her.
I will stick with £300, plus materials. I reason it will take at least 25 hours, so at £10 an hour, plus a bit extra to allow for the extra time it will probavbly take, £300 seems about right. Sorry if I confused people, the materials will cost at least £150...on top of my costs, so going to be a costly outfit!! Hope I can do it justice!
Had a bad night's sleep last night, worrying mostly about this, so need to ring the lady and get it out of the way. It's taking over my life and I haven't even started it!! Mind you, I do like the idea of earnoing money while knitting watching tv.
A lovely sunny morning, so have all of yesterday's very soggy washing back outside, plus anothe wash. I had forgotten how much clothing DS2 goes through when he's back at college and training again. he has a match today, his first for 9 months, so I hope he survives injury-free!
Sorry Pippi, I seem to have hijacked this thread atm...mega apologies, but I do value everyone's views and comments, so thankyou everyone :T:T:T:T
Have a lovely day xxx

did you ring her keiss?? I just want to echo what other people have said. your time is SO valuable. plus I think sometimes we are all on these boards and live in a very MSE world (where every penny is important) it's sometimes hard to imagine that people would pay that amount for a coat and skirt ( HOW MUCH?????) but people do. the worst thing she can do is say no and if she really wants it then she's not going to.
anyway how is everyone today??Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
At last rang her...and she isn't in again! So I have left my details (again) so perhaps she will ring me today. I will try this evening if she doesn't ring beforehand as she may be at work.
Funny when I have something I'm not sure about, but MUST do, I can find lots of other things to do rather than bite the bullet!! Feel all deflated now...humfph, how dare she be out!!
I will be charging her £300, plus material costs, so she can take it or leave it, not that I will say it in that way ofcourse!
Oooh, think I will go and make some bread to release all this tension!!:D
Anyone for multi-seeded wholemeal? Toddles off to make four loaves.
