Morning all!
Mr F very broken, sleeping still, I'm amazed he got here!
Lula in the nursery I worked at all hardy stuff like your herbs were potted on before the end of sept to give them time to grow on a bit and they were left outdoors. I'd think for those herbs being outdoors would be grand for them.
Med herbs can manage the cold fine, our soggy winters they don't lik too much, so popping either some stones or grit into their pots or good drainage via stones at bottom should do.
Pot them into a pot about 1/2 to one inch wider/deeper not much bigger or they'll be sitting in compost they've not grown into.
Hope that helps. XTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Morning Pippi,
thanks for the herb advice - you are a wonder
No, I wont be scrabbling about on the neighbours shingle drive in the middle of the night filling my pots for free .0 -
Shingle be perfect, not that of course you'd do that. But, if a handful made its way into a herb pot mix the compost well with said shingle.
just a head full of useless info

Glad Mr Flowers made it and is in the best place to be fixed. Didn't realise that you were having a student again. Good for you. It is a very grey and wet day here. Still I will be at my desk all day so no need to be worried about the weather. Moo refused to go out of the door as it is so wet this morning. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0
