**passes mug over for another cuppa tea **

Good luck on that bike, MrsMoo! I got a bike when I was 7, in return for stopping sucking my thumb .... it worked as a bribe, I can tell you!

Blackberries - I did go out for a little wander earlier this week, and it was interesting - I didn't take many, a lot were past their best, but some of the bushes have flowers on - it *must* be their 2nd flowering. I've never lived anywhere with easy access to blackberries before, so I don't know if thats normal or not, but thats whats happening here, way doon sooth :)

  • Another cuppa here please!

Feeling a bit rubbish today with cold so today's plan have had to be rejigged a bit. I have been shopping and pleased I more or less stuck to my list meaning I spent £25 less than last week. Trying hard to stick to it and reign in the shopping spending.

Anyway I'll be using up the giant free courgettes today in a chutney and a lasagne. So exciting here eh? Only joking! Feels good to make something great out of something free or home grown, or both!

Have a good weekend Pippi x

Good morning to Pippi & all else who wander here,

well done on thesis but equally, shame about the job. It actually means that something far more suitable is out there & will come your way when the time is right :).

The leeks are still pencil-like & not doing an awful lot of growing, but it's warm & dry here so will be getting outside later on to have a potter & poke about. I treated myself to 2 lovely willow salad planters yesterday so just need to stock up on compost & then will be ready for next years crops.

I've had 2 cuppas already, just need to get on with stuff now ...

    Happy day to all
    xx
  • Back to 'normal 'weather here ie rain. Two loads of washing done and on the airers. Need to divide up the seeds I managed to get on the dry day . I also need to tackle 'the heap' you know all that stuff that appears through your letter box each week which is usually junk with one important thing cunninngly hidden in the middle.
  • Hey greenval, we know that heap so well........goodluck!

Lula - willow planters sound ace - can you use them on the windowsills indoors for some 'winter indoor salad'? Pottering here too - thank you for the thesis woo hoo, job will turn up I'm sure, there is one in the local co-op for 20 hours a week, I might even pick up a form today - :) you're right, whats for me, won't go passed me, as my grannie use to say

Mrs M is right though I need watch extra work with polytunnel ness

Ey up sparkles - glad you're cooking free stuff - hope the assignments are going OK - you're back aren't you? I hope the cold doesn't come to much.

Just heard my evening class teaching will be going ahead *gulp* I'm going alone this year - eek - 'veggie gardening taught by a dummy!' so thats one hour for 12 weeks I'll be gainfully employed at a decent rate an hour (good show) lol! - on hour a week down, more to go :)

And,they are trying to get me a bit of something to work on some 'hort' stuff at work, so hanging on in there might have paid off, I've annoyed them enough to be thinking, OK what can we make her do as she's clearly not going to leave.

Morning all, lots of cuppas being drunk already I see! I don't touch any hot drinks (unless I am particular cold and then it's either squashes or hot chocolate), but have drunk about a litre of water this morning...will that do?

I've managed to do 2.5 hours of paid work this morning (IT work for crafting company)...thought I should get something done, as I have been neglecting things a bit .
    :o

Now I need to get off and paint again!! Only one coat of gloss left to do in the conservatory :j. DH is wanting to wash down and stain the outside conservatory woodwork this weekend, well, at least get it started! Told him to be careful today, as I need to gloss the windowsill later on.

:j to Mr F arriving today
Pippi ...hope he isn't too battered after his holiday! :o

Have a lovely weekend all x
