My plans for the weekend are to clear some of my clutter. Just been out for lunch with a couple of friends. One of them invited someone else who clearly upsets my other friend who came along (and me too) with the way she speaks but didn't know this when I agreed to this woman coming along. One of my friends who was there (the one who felt uncomfortable) is kind of seeing someone and the other woman and her friend are single. They kept chatting about men and dating and quite unmentionable stuff..... bit risque iyswim. My friend (who invited this other woman) is normally quite bubbly but knows where to draw the line but she more than crossed it this lunchtime. So feeling bad I spent £7 on lunch and I've also ordered a new pair of jeans (£12 and I got quidco..... no way am I getting back into my size 12's anytime soon..... its not fair!). I do need to start exercising. I have got loads of nice clothes but they are too small for me.

  • Well best laid intentions and all that, job taken, hey ho!

Thank you for the tomato name GV, I'd grown that one this year too and liked it very much.

Well, aside a pdf'ing of my document and a press send email to my internal examiner, I appear to be done the old thesis!

Time for home me thinks and a little dance.

Let the real post phd maddness begin!

Getting rid of the thesis must be so lightening! Now you can start to live again.

I'm sorry the job was gone and hope another door opens soon.

I'm picturing you dancing down the track to the beach. :j:j
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

Woohoo...great excitement, thesis all done!!! :j:beer::j Well done Pippi!! :T:T:T

Sorry to hear the job had already gone...still, better luck next time.

Well done on all the gardening and the polytunnel hole digging...good to have DS for a day during the week...I get DS2 on Wednesdays unless he is playing rugby. He's back at collfege next week..not sure what his time-table will be exactly, but Wednesday should be free still. Hopefully he will be fit enough to play more ths year :).

greenval - that tomato sounds like a good one, might investigate for next year. :D

Right, need to get back to the painting. Glossing today, did the windows to the kitchen before lunch...very fiddly. We are all beginning to suffer from the painty fumes...still another day to go....:o So now skirtings then windowsills....sooo much painting still to do! Need to keep at it....plodding away day by day is a good way to go. Will be finishing the conservatory painting tomorrow, but want to paint the bookcase the same colour as the woodwork, so it needs cleaning, sanding and priming before getting the paint on. It's all going to look great once it's all done...even our neighbours like the pinky-red!!

Have a great weekend everyone...guess what I'll be doing??!! :D
