    Hya all, :hello::hello:

Another busy day for you Pippi.....you leave us all behind with all your business!! :D Love your piccies on your blog...what lovely cats you now have. Shame about your garden though...you're right about the calendula bed wanting to be a pond.....will need a bit of digging though.

If you want some Lucifer corms, I'm sure I could find some for you ;).

Unix - my onions looks great, really ought to dig them up and dry them off. Been busy decorating the past week, but must get them up soon before they start to rot. My beetroot have grown rather large, but they'll be fine still I expect.

Mind you, I've actually got a few things done today too! The conservatory is now a lovely shade of red, instead of yellow. I will need to do at least one more coat if not two. The underlying yellow is fairly shining through atm. :o All my boys (DH, DS1&2) poo-pooed my paint choice, but they all love it now it's on the walls! Why is it they ever doubt my decisions...don't they know "Mum always knows best"!:rotfl:

Made some foccacia for tea (inspired by The Great British Bake-Off last night)...worked out pretty well, depsite forgetting to pour some oil on top before baking it...still it turned out great though, nom, nom :D. The oven was busy this evening, with pork ribs and roasted butternut squash first,
followed by the foccacia, then bread and butter pudding....a scrummy night of food! We have enough foccacia for tomorrow's lunch, and there is even some B&B pudding left!!

Right, need to get to bed soon...more painting to do tomorrow.

Look forward to see what you acheive tomorow Pippi. :D

Just checking in - hello! I'm also wondering what YS is that Kittikins knows .... Young Saver? Cant be .... she will reveal all, eventually (well, not all ...) :):):)
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Hiya Keiss well done on all that baking!

Well done on the painting and mama always knows best (unless its LT OH's mama, then from what I've heard, for her (LT) that aint true). Lucifer yes please, I've alot of the local one around which I think I'm going to use to make a 'crocosmia hedge' out that window - thinking of losing the bit of the border on the left towards the bigger grass area (I'd say lawn but lets not get beyond myself, my garden is merely reclaimed from the field) although I like the idea of the semetricalness (sp) of it but feel that its hard enough work making anything live in that bit of the garden so perhaps not, be interesting to hear what you think? Both sides bordered with crocosmia might be nice? and keep the shape I was after - but if I only do it on one side the garden would be connected up more.................the pond will take a fair bit of digging, investigations tell me its very peaty over clay - the garden might find its own level. I am also thinking of getting rid of the grass in that bit entirely but unsure.

Anyway enough of this garden malarkay! Glad the boys are working well Keiss.

Today - hurrah I've decided its a work at home day again - trying a bit of a new routine, it being september and all that. Petrol last month for me was £208 and that needs to reduce. I have to go out later to another local town (7 miles away) so I've decided I'm not going to big town to the office, I'll work here instead. I have to go in tomorrow and saturday, so that at least reduces miles for today.

Today we break ground on the tunnel - ds is off school on thursdays and I don't want him to slip into a day of gadding about online gaming, so he's being put to hard labour in exchange for some kind of delights (under negotiation).

Banks to check and rent to pay today - bit short yesterday still (£40), but we'll see if all's well in banking land today.
Bargains to sort out, box up and/or freeze
Cheese of homemade delight to inspect
Home made basil to coo over, I'm so utterly chuffed I've made pesto, I want to make more, not entirely local (pine nuts and cheese from eu) but oil was from scotland (cold pressed rape oil)
    A bit reading to do
    A blog to do
A read of another section of proofing thesis - almost there
    Paving to move
Might go to beach with BRB and get peedie stones for the garden, which I'll put back after, honest
Out for tea later, need pick a bunch of flowers for that
Ebay to check out, my cuttings (piggy back plant, tolmeia menzeii) have rooted, both types, hurrah. (Got one kind when keiss was here, propagated whilst cheery was here, very mse!)
    Might go to the dump
Clear out the shed of doom, ds can help me :)
Dig at least ONE polytunnel hole
Find out what else OH has mangled on his holiday

Bob it was bargaintastic, wednesday nights appear to be a good night to go, went after 7pm whilst dd was fencing!

OK first off, cuppa and banks - hope you're all good :)

    ETA waves to KC :)
