Would love to do storecupboard challenge - but I don't have one! Had to bring cold cheese on toast for lunch today cos nothing else in the house  (well, probably not strictly true, but green lentils and spaghetti do not a tasty and quick lunch make!)

Maybe my challenge is *building* a storecupboard?!

    <sneaks back off to work>

blimey I'm not liking sitting locked to a chair at a desk in a small room today! :(

  • Cheery a little cupboard might be good for you :) arg to being tied to a desk

Red, I'm hoping it might work, no one doing it here

Made a good start at tidying up, set and jarred the strawb 10p jam - 5 jars, made pesto with home basil which looks OK................and made an attempt at cheese but thus far it aint looking great

And found a nice link http://www.blasda.org.uk/

Off to cycle up to dd walking home and take the mutt, although as cheery will tell you later, he's not great at not stopping directly infront of the bike

    Breakfast: weetabix and milk

Lunch and snacks: banana, apple, oat cakes found in desk, thankfully not too out of date ;), lentil/rice salad with cucumber, yellow pepper and soy sauce, diet coke (yay to desk findings!!)

Dinner: left over veggie and beany stew from yesterday

Try not to eat all the bread and make DD's sandwiches instead!! I'm going home via MrT's to see if any bargainous bargains that can't be resisted at any cost, but I did buy a cauliflower yesterday that will make a fab thai curry for Saturday night when I've hopefully got a girly chum staying :)

Errrm, it's made up as I go along.....just thai curry paste, fish sauce, coconut milk, veg of any description usually from the bottom of the fridge :) or tofu, all in a pan and cook.

Darn it - MrT's had YS pineapple juice (really not necessary but I love it.......), very YS pizza, offer on fromage frais that DD likes and a few other small bits - but I found £5 in my purse, so paid with that instead of dipping into my 'real money'....

what's YS KK?? am i missing something??

We're going to be doing a storecupboard thing too. Had our shopping delivered yesterday and need it to last as long as possible. Cheated a bit tonight though as DH working late so just me and DD to feed. Picking up DD from parents after work I hear my DD tell my step dad she had had "frogs and snakes and spiders" for tea yesterday (she did not may I quickly add!!) As i'm leaving lovely step dad passes me a container full of cheese and potato pie (my favourite) and says "I can't have my granddaughter starving can I?" (does that mean that he doesn't mind me starving??? hmmmmmm???!!!)

Cheery glad you got home safely.

Thanks for asking that questions Starnac, I am sat here wondering:

    A) what YS is
    B) What your DD is describing

Waves hi to everyone, just caught up after a few days in Scotland. Only got up as far as Glasgow this time but it was a lovely if short trip. Followed the Ayrshire coast on the way up and got to see lots of lovely water :D

I have no idea tbh. She actually had sausage, mash and beans for tea yesterday. I wonder if she's heard someone else say it at nursery or whether she just has a very very active imagination?
